The biggest problem here is that we all have to stand up for Gordon, because we have all experienced injustice at some point in our lives. So much effort, work, sacrifice, and in the end, not only do you not get recognition, but you are criticized. And the other "favorite" of the boss, professor, parents... gets an undeserved award. And they still lie and insult. It practically fools us into believing that what we saw was an illusion. It's amazing what fame can do to a person.

He just showed up exhausted from having to cut all the weight he puts on between fights and simply wanted a payday. I don't know if he can hang with top 10-15 guys and he lost this fight. I dont know but myself when I was Young I would get heavy during the winter months i was 230 as soon as Lacrosse Practices began It came off quickly and I did not starve myself I cut the junk out and youth and the terribly brural workouts got me down to 190 any lower than that and I would get weak I could feel it. But as far as the scrap It was a great scrap I enjoyed it. Paddy was suprised and I think that will help him tremendously

Yup, I've noticed that too and I have a theory. When Chael was actively fighting and before he was booted from UFC commentary, Dana said something like "I can see Chael working for UFC in administrative capacity - he can promote, and communicate well with fighters etc." I think this is why Chael is always so onside with Dana's picks like Paddy...he's angling to return to working for the UFC in the future. In fact Dana recently talked about not continuing forever and I think Chael would be a good replacement, so I expect Chael to continue playing the company man.

No, Jiri prochazka ran through the UFC. KO'd volkan, dominated Reyes, and submitted Glover. Can't say he was given easy matchups or gifted decisions. The guy is a complete beast.
@@rowan6207 Conor fought Aldo in his 7th ufc fight. Khabib fought for a belt in his 10th. Khamzat is 7 fights in with a win over #2 and no shot yet. Pereira got a belt in 4 fights but he beat the #4 to get there and even that is not unprecedented. Silva got the belt in 2, lesnar in 3. Many fought for a belt their 1st fight ever when strikeforce folded. You dont have to beat every one above you to get a shot at the champ. Leon Edwards is a champion and has still not beaten a top 10 fighter. Thats just not how it works and never has been.

Gordon won 2/3 if not 3/3 rounds. The UD was pretty gross. I could’ve tolerated a split decision. The big takeaway from that fight was definitely how well Paddy took those flush shots, though.

Also similar to Usman/Edwards AND more recently, Izzy v Piera… All these fights most good analytic fight fans had the matches as “pick ems” basically I think anyways… and then 4 rounds happen, we think we have a pretty good idea of how the outcome gonna go and then BOOM!!!! Out of NOWHERE, everything flips and everything we thought we knew goes out the window!! Greatest part of the fight game. Like they say about American football, “on any given Sunday any NFL team can beat another NFL team..” well on the same hand, similarly, “On any given Saturday night, One UFC professional can beat any other UFC professional if things line up and go the right way..”

It’s weird though, after he hydrates he doesn’t look huge, he looks the same at weigh-ins as he does when he fights as opposed to other fighters who look much bigger after they hydrate. My instinct is that it’s just his age and metabolism, that it’s easy for him to put on weight and it just slides right off, but won’t be like this forever.
he spends his camp dieting and working the weight of so when he cuts weight it's not a massive cut. but that means his Camps are basically fat camps. and if hes getting fat between camps, then he can't be working as hard and consistently as he needs to improve and develop his skills between fights, so he's not getting any better between fights.

I'm a Paddy fan, but even with my biased eye I thought Jared had definitely done enough to get the W and was disappointed in the decision because it not only hurt the already shaky trust the fans the had in the judging system... It hurt Paddy's stock to no end, especially the way Paddy handled himself in the media post fight. But look he's young, hopefully he can learn that just because he got the W next to his name, this was for all intents and purposes a loss for him, in the eyes of the public, and he needs to be a bit more grown up and not let his ego dictate his mouth quite so much.
Agreed. He did not write the scores on the cards. That's not his fault. But he definitely let his ego run his mouth off in a terrible fashion. Sean O'Malley handled it way better.

Lost a fan... the way he conducted himself on Mike Tyson's show was abysmal. The way he treated the people around him helping him was hard to watch and made me cringe hard. Nothing will compare to that interview with Dana that was the most cringe worthy pile of garbage ive seen. Props to Ariel for telling the truth paddy should try it sometime
He’s in his 30’s now. He is what he is at this point. He’s not going to grow into anything else at this point. And struggling against Gordon, means once he’s fighting inside the top 12 of that division he is fucked. No offense to Gordon, he’s a good fighter and been through a lot to get where he is, but the guys ahead of him are killers. And like Till, it’s too late to teach him to not keep his chin straight up when he’s throwing and backing away.
He's fairly young but not in fighting years. He's been a pro for over a decade and hasn't shown significant improvemet in the last 5. The guys he was winning and losing against in cage warriors are the same guys he's facing now. I think his competition in CW was arguably better, except for this last fight which he clearly lost. Paddy has a very youthful appearance and manner, but in terms of fighting he's well past the prospect stage.
