  • I showed you in a previous video • how to .... LEARN? how to synthesize or generate 808-type hi-hats. There are also other ways to synthesize them. Here is one way of using just a subtractive synthesizer like Polymer. It's very easy to set up but draws some CPU power. However, you can just sample them or bounce to stems.

Another way of making those inharmonics is by putting a Saturator after the EQ and driving it so it makes aliasing artifacts, and combined with filtering and frequency shifting is a really good way to create inharmonics whitout sacrificing processing power, it's a technique i use for making hats and snares more metallic. Also comb filtering can shape further those inharmonics when the cuttoff is low.
The magic is in the Saturator + Freq Shifter combo.

Nice! You get quite a bit of control over the "ringy" characteristics this way. The instrument body convolution sounds great. Can I ask which IR library this is? Thanks!

Your first hat trick also works for rim shots!
After watching the video, this trick works too xD

Omg i've looking for a way to do this for months now, ever since i saw Current Value use old nord modular software for metallic cymbals and stuff, i knew it would be possible in Bitwig but i'm still a noob so yeah. Thanks a bunch for this! This forever changes the quality of my synthesized overheads for sure. Trying this out today yup yup

When you say dopest do you mean best as in most useful or is it a way to score drugs? Please be precise. Yours confused etc. PS l like the channel.

The result sounds good! Perhaps the metallic parallel effect can also be achieved with a comb filter?

Hi, gibt es in bitwig ein Tool womit man Sounds im Raum verschieben kann? also das der Sound mehr vorne oder hinten ist. Grüße😊

Oh, that's the 808 hat way, right? Or was it some other drum machine?
