Gregor the Overlander was one of my favorite series as a kid! Giant rats, riding giant bats, animals that can talk, secret underground society, conflict, family, etc. what more could one ask for as a kid?
The sea witch is a dark retelling of the little mermaid and like an origin story for the seawitch ursula- really well done book!
"He just goes ahead and disappears" 😂 I don't know why that term of phrase was so funny to me ☕
Like Water for Chocolate is so good! Read that earlier this year and was so obsessed with the magic that comes about through food. Also, EXCELLENT recipes. The mole sauce is exceptional!

The Little Prince is a wonderful book about friendship. When my best friend was engaged and was going to move to where her husband lives, she gave me The Little Prince. On the inside page she quoted “because of the wheat fields”. I could not stop crying.😥

Before the coffee gets cold was quite a good read- two of the stories were particularly interesting and immersive- I hope you enjoy it.

Gregor the Overlandrer is one of my favorite from my childhood.
I absolutely LOVE the Dr. Greta Helsing trilogy. Hands down, my favorite discovery of 2020. So underrated,
Omg- I am so thrilled to see you haul The Murderer’s Ape! I adored that book- it’s so, so good and I rarely see anyone talk about it! It’s a very quick and compulsively readable adventure story- it’s so well done and I can’t wait to see what you think of it!
Sea Witch is a fun read! Kind of a Ursula origin story🐙 Swamplandia sounds very unique but intriguing😂 Thanks for the fun video! ☕️

Vivian Shaw's series is a hidden gem that deserves a lot more attention. I read the first two and finally found a copy of the third book. Like Water for Chocolate is a beautiful historical magical realism story. There's also a movie. I'm tackling Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell this September too. I currently don't do coffee, but I did have my tea, plus pumpkin cinnamon buckwheat waffles covered in butter, syrup, and pinkberries.
Wow so many of my all time favourite middle-grades already by the 12 min mark. I love Gregor and Momo is just... idk how to describe my feelings😂❤

I also love everything Greek mythology. I plan on reading 1Q84 next month, I have the book broken up into sections of 25 pages so I can motivate myself to get through it! I hope I love it and that you love it to when you get to it! Also, Not a Happy Family is one of the best things I've read all year. I immediately bought all of Shari Lapena's other books after reading it. It's such a quick paced book and the chapters are short which I love.

Yay! I'm so excited that someone sent you The wingfeather Saga! I am plowing thru the series in 2 months because its fantastic, I really hope you enjoy it too! I also highly recommend the audiobook which is narrated by the author.

The books by Michael Ende are very famous in my country. Sadly, I never read something from him, but I finally bought "The Neverending Story" (the original is written in two diffrent colours: red and green). I only saw the movie as a child

You are going to love Like Water for Chocolate! Great haul Lexi ☕️☕️☕️! Your Spanish pronunciation is amazing, a tip to sound like a natural would be to emphasize the syllable where you see the tick over some vocals, that accent indicates the tonic syllable, like the I in García and the A in Márquez.

That's so funny. I saw Ophie's Ghosts in Chapters, the other day, and almost got it for Ella. Next time, for sure.
And I just finished Hamnet & Judith (I think the American title for Hamnet), yesterday. I liked it. And you're right. It's more about the wife and her life, her issues with coming to terms with Hamnet's death and how she reacts to her husband writing Hamlet. It was a bit sad, at times, but I liked it. I gave it a 4 ⭐s on Goodreads.

I wasn't really into reading then, but it was one of the few that I really enjoyed reading at the time! Also, I agree that the cover is awesome hehe. I feel like I have told you about this like 3 times. But it fits your plurality and book likes so well. It is called what stars are made of. I actually have Turner's syndrome like the girl in the book. So I would love to have some more conversation about it.
I just finished For Your Own Good and gave it 5 stars. I started All's Well and just couldnt get into it so dnf'd it. Possibly I didn't give it enough of a chance.
