Thanks a lot for posting a part of this concert. My Greek friend went to the Athens concert and told me Protopsalti was in excellent shape. Thanks to the posted video I could also see she was indeed in excellent shape for being 69 years old.

❤❤❤❤😢😊
Israel please stop the war in Palestine save the children all we need is love
Why this comment here?
Da li to Dalaras ovoga puta nastupa prehladjen?😮
Καλή η Πρωτοψάλτη δεν λέω αλλά άμα υπάρχει ένας Νταλάρας ακόμα και η Πρωτοψάλτη καταποντίζεται.
Δεν θα το ελεγα...
O Ntalaras gerase kai tha psofisei tragoudontas gia to xrima, ola exoun ena telos.

He's lost his voice. If htere was a god, he'd get him off the stage.
You have to be pretty dense if you can't understand that what you hear is the result of poor , amateur recording and not an indication of Dalaras' loss of voice
Alkistis comes accross perfectly well--thereby indicating that the only density in this conversation is yours. But then again, I would say that cult followers of dalaras were always fairly dense as a matter of having a mental disorder.
we'll all grow old and lose the quality of our organs - why would dalaras be an exception to how things are? i see a beautiful artist doing his thing.. singing is not all about the quality of the voice (which still is pretty great for a 74 yo), but also about the way a song is conveyed, the senses a particular performance arouses to the audience, the stage performance and the general vibe which would be completely different had a different set of artists been on stage. Thinking of those who experience a performer differently than you as "mentally disordered" and "cult followers" is just silly...
@@elenafilippou1821 Hi Elena, and thanks for the thoughtful response. You've raised several important issues that I'll try to offer acceptable answers.
First of all, taken an instrument, voice quality counts for nearly everything. The exception comes with a particular artist offering up his/her own lyrics and, in a manner of speaking, "singing one's own songs". Here in amerika, the best examples I can offer up are Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Joni Mitchell.
Otherwise, the listener should reflect upon his/herself and ask if nostalgia is involved. And mt contention for both Dalaras and Arvanitaki is "Yes". And here, it's to be noted that Caris Alexiou stopped singing because she couldn't uphold her own quality standards of her own voice.
So you need to say that Dalaras (and Arvanitaki) enjoy cult status for personal reasons. So the collective mental disorder to which I'm referring has everything to do with a genre of poppish consumerism that makes the stage spectacle of greater importance than the purity of the aesthetic itself. And a good example of a young artist whose been put into this bind would be Eleftheria Etheriou; she's obviously far happier singing Mia Pista apo fosforo and Taxidi sti vroxi than "Aphrodisiac...
Lastly, in a word, a creaky, cultish dalaras represents nothing more than the amerikunization of Greek culture. His self-proclaimed idol, Bithikotsis, knew when to become a Memory...yet Dalaras persists as a vain, foolish clown.
I recently attended their concert. The audio quality of this youtube video recording is so poor and bad, that the only reason to watch it, is for the consert's song list.
The Voices of these two great artists, are incredible.
I was trying to hear a kind of mistake, a sign that these are people that grow old like the rest of us, and couldn't find one.
I don't want to comment the fact that it is not allowed to record such a video, the only thing I want to comment is that it is very annoying to try to watch the show of the artists between the screens of the cell phones...
