Building a Galloping LEGO Horse

- Watch me build the standalone version of the horse design I used in my Apollo LEGO kinetic sculpture. The model features a simple crank shaft to control the position of the horse's hooves and some internal mechanics to add subtle movement to the body.
Turn on captions for more information on different aspects of the build.

Ur brain sharper than a needle
Did you have to make it asmr this sounds disgusting
If the people say your same LEGO building sound is annoying them so change to a slow music!
@@juioploski4063 I didn't make it anything. That's what it sounds like.
@@pasinpasin5938 A lot of people enjoy listening to the sounds. The ones that don't can just mute the sound and listen to their own music.
Others: hey did you know you could’ve bought a toy lego horse minifigur-
Brickworks: *No*
I honestly think what he made is better than a lego horse minifigure! I mean, it's amazing!😀🐴
@@ParadiseSwirl I agree
Okay
He can’t buy horse LEGO figure because it has no joints there for no gallop mechanics
He doesn’t buy from the lego store. The lego store buys from him
This makes everything else I have accomplished look like a joke.
Cosmic Memer *PSYCHE!*
That’s not how horses gallop. The lego “horse’s” choreography is more like a camel’s.
This short 1 min vid shows the difference. czcams.com/video/IH6o58aEA1E/video.html
CrabTastingMan weirdest way I’ve ever seen anyone spell sike.
BigBubba it’s literally how it’s supposed to be spelled. Originally came from “psyched out”. You’ve never seen the show “Psych”?
Doom Gang I know that and all but Sike looks better for Jokes than psyche does
Ha! I ruined the 666 likes! Now it’s 667!
Thanks for not putting obnoxious music on it! Much better.
anyone else get annoyed by obnoxious video intros that play stupid loud music

Tbh the sound of them loud ass lego bricks is annoying af
@@jaydenking7408 i think its satisfying
@@CrabTastingMan this guy built a *moving* horse out of lego. Functional, and pleasing to look at. The majority of the audience does not really care if the movement isn't 100% accurate.
I think it would be amazing to combine this with one of your wing-flapping mechanisms to create a pegasus and/or gryphon automaton. I'd give it a shot myself if I had a good enough supply of pieces.
MaraMash but your not myself you’re yourself
@@jackplays2385 no
@@jackplays2385 ur'e stupid asf
Jack Plays myself works in that context. Yourself and myself mean the same, if MaraMash had used yourself it wouldn’t of made sense, if that’s what you meant.
@@jackplays2385 Look at all these people that didn't get the joke AT ALL
I did not expect lego asmr when I clicked on this.
Me either
your profile pic and comment somewhat match
yeah well I love it lol
Me too, I was surprised.
Ne neither but here we are.
Using legos
Others: *create robots, amazing art, ect.*
Me: *sticks a long Lego on a horse figure, calls it a pegasus.*
ART
Very true art
Super true art
Amazing
That is EXACTLY how I built a Pegasus as a kid lmfao
Very true 👌
I would lot to see a LONG form of how you even begin to create an idea. Like the whole process of working things out! But these are always amazing.
If you haven't seen it, the printer project is probably the most in depth he's been on the design process.
@@volbla OP probably was talking about stuff like: Projecting it on paper or something, you know. From the beggining.
Well the first step to designing something like this is to horse around.
Everyone's design process is going to be a bit different. I have watched some that just start putting pieces together. They build, dismantle, and rebuild until they are happy with what they have. Some draw a concept picture and then start building. Some render it digitally first. Some plan out everything in excruciating detail. It is going to be different for every builder.
i finally understand how people can fall asleep from asmr.
Same bro😀
I finally understand why people like asmr in the first place
I love how absolutely CRUNCHY your videos are. It's super satisfying to listen to. Awesome Lego builds and ASMR! 2 for 1 deal!
ok zoomer
Duck Lord Who asked
The clicking and cracking of the LEGO is a real sign of some good quality LEGOs
Nice and crisp; fresh off the vine
Eveybody: How detailed can you make a lego horse?
Brickworks: *Yes*
I love these build-up type videos. Many people have mentioned they come across almost like ASMR, so if that's what you're going for, ignore my suggestion. But I think it would be cool to have a voiceover on videos like this, even just unscripted, kinda like movie commentary. In the other videos you've done on this horse model, the focus is on the mechanics (how the head, body, and tail move, how the legs are synchronized, the lever systems that make the motion so recognizable) but I would love to hear your thoughts on other aspects of the design, like appearance and part usage (why make it all white? How did you make the horse's dimensions match a real horse so closely? How did you think of using various feather pieces for the mane and tail?)
PS. Are you watching LEGO Masters? If so, thoughts?
jackofallspades98 LEGO masters makes me mad, the way the exaggerate certain things and the way they talk and act they make themselves sound like LEGO masters. But watching them and seeing what they do, and how some of them don’t have a huge history with LEGO it just makes them look stupid. I could do way better on the show and I’m sure any true LEGO builder such as MOC builders could do way better.
These are intentionally done in 'ASMR style', but thanks for the feedback. I'm not really a chatty person, so doing unscripted voice overs would probably be a terrible idea. Point noted about the other design aspects. Those are things I never really talk about.
Regarding LEGO Masters, I have not watched any of it yet, though I have been keeping tabs a little on what is happening. I may watch it at some point, but to be honest it's not that high on my watch list. I find the typical reality show format to be a bit painful to watch, and it doesn't sound this this one is much different in that regard.
You could add custom subtitles for the people interested in the mechanism.
Gervais Builds the fact that they move so slow is also quite aggravating. One team barely did anything for 5 hours and somehow the host thinks one team member’s anger was unjustified.
Staged
These and skateboard bowl videos are my type of ASMR
Those Clicc-Claccs of the lego pieces when you put them together. So satisfying!
The sound of the bricks snapping together is so satisfying 😔👌
I just love the clicking of legos when they are being put together i can't
Me too.

Oh god!
Look at that horse, that horse is amazing.
give it a lick
@@painfulhappiness2940 it tastes just like raisins
Why is the sound of creaky lego just the best thing ever
I think I speak for all of us when I say there is nothing more satisfying than watching someone build things with legos.
Those who disliked this video are the literally the devil. apPRECIATE THE CRAFTSMANSHIP, HARD WORK AND EFFORT THIS MAN HAS.
Then you're God I guess.
Incredible! You have such a great understanding of mechanics.
I believe that a lego canal that carries and builds such serious things as him ... will never exist
in awe of your planning, building skills and mechanical motion design, have so many questions, another masterpiece, wow, so inspirational
That was like "pure builds" from Jang!
It's like an ASMR video. Il love brick's sound.
His goals are beyond our understanding.
I wanted to go to bed at 10, but here I am am at 2:17am watching some champion build a lego galloping horse
This horse is amazing!

James Baxter a chad
This is absolutely outstanding! I'm amazed how someone can have such a clear vision for all those tiny pieces
You're like an engineer and a wizard combined
That tail makes me uncomfortable
For me it doesn't, it looks good enough.
It's the best he can do
Yeah
Thanks now I just noticed it...
@Goose mostly just arabian horses do that not all horses hold their tail like that
Instead of giving us 10 minutes of explaining, this dude goes for it.
This guy is simply a genius with LEGO and motion. Always blows me away
I bought this and made it with my daughter. We love it so much. It’s a stunning piece of design. And thanks to the video we added a motor too. Thank you!
You could put a horn on it :so that will be a unicorn
With Wings it would be Pegasus
And with both it would be an alicorn
I get massive Westworld vibes from this, damn good work!
The sounds are so satisfiying
The asmr is outstanding

Sorry everyone is not an expert on the different kinds of walk/run horses do. We all just think it’s cool. If you want to try to do what this person did and create it galloping this time, then go for it and tell me how it turns out. I’d love to see you try.

The building is the fun part :)
One of the most amazing lego projects I have ever seen, really.
This is really nice though, I love how you spent time on making captions to explain what you are building at the time, like the stand or support collum.
"create everything u want with Lego!" now i believe Them lmao

absolute Amazing Jason! I Love your ideas!
the sounds are so satisfying!
How do you come up with these?
I come hear for sadisfaction (cuz of the noise the legos make when they are getting put together)
Hypstic Orange yeaaaaaah
There’s just so much talent and technical genius...
I’m genuinely speechless
Awesome !! I love the design... 🐎
Someone: So what type of ASMR do you like?

This is probably the least complicated form of ASMR that I'm aware of. Try explaining Donkey Kong advice RP ASMR
Me before watching: cool and simple
Me after watching: *all of my builds are shit*
The solution for the mane is an absolute joy
it's so satisfying to hear him click the bricks together.
Am I the only one who thinks the direction of calf is kinda wrong?
I mean the muscle part should appear in the opposite direction, so that the horseshoes will toward to the front too. Just sharing my thoughts.
Well, it's a lego horse. I don't think you get get something that is much better than this. But I didn't think this was possible either so maybe xD
Bianca i was thinking is it possible to install them inversely.
he fixes it when he puts the motor in. I thought the same
It sound like ASMR 😂
That's so awesome. WOW!!
Amazing! I love lego and horses !
do you ever click on a youtube video and think: "please no talking", and then there actually is none?
I dont know how, or why, but watching this gave me anxiety.
It's a bit quiet and awkward
maybe the silence of no music and the sound of snapping legos.
