I was born in a Muslim family from a long lines of Muslim bloodlines. I became agnostic for 15 years. Allah never stop from trying to lead me back to Islam. Finally Allah sent me another agnostic from a Christian family to me as a friend.
Without him knowing, he led me back to Islam. All his questions about God made me open my Quran again and it shooked me how lost I've been.
And now I'm trying so hard to return Allah's favour. Do the best I can to follow the Quran and hadith. Allah is my everything now.

I’m a born Muslim and this reminds me so much of the path I went down on. Growing up in America, I was influenced by so many sins. My parents who grew up in a Muslim environment had a strong faith in them already so they seemed immune. As I matured into puberty, I strayed further and further away from Islam to the point that I’d even call myself an agnostic. I was so carefree without realizing I was walking down a path of destruction.
Alhamdullillah this quarantine has opened my eyes. Being only around my family made me question myself. Seeing how devout they were, how they believed wholeheartedly made me question the wall I had built up around myself. I researched and researched wondering the purpose of existence. I fell into a place where I was completely lost. Then I realized I had been looking towards the wrong place. I started listening to Islamic scholars, picking up my Quran for the first time. I feel like I’ve gotten into a place right now where as feel a true connection with God and I wholeheartedly believe in Allah and that Muhammad is his messenger and it is Gods word in the Quran.
I ask Allah forgiveness for those years I lived in darkness and to guide me even closer to him. Islam can bring joy to anyone and Insha Allah, those of you who are just like how I was find God. Allah bless you all.

And alot of people who listen the Quran for the first time also say the experience is peacefull and heartwarming. With all respect to other religions but in other religious books there isnt any thing that compares to the Quran. I just typed this comment as a little context for you about the Quran look up Quran gems on youtube to learn alot of it. Assalaamu aleykum(may peace be upon you).

      Salam brothers and sisters
The Islam of today's Muslim world has been distorted; it has become a satanic cult. The Ulama, or religious scholars, have added many extraneous laws, prohibitions, dress codes, dietary regulations, and religious practices never authorized by GOD. They are not better then jew or christian scholars (9:31). Great majority of those who call themselves "Muslim" have abandoned the Quran (25:30) in favor of their own man-made innovations and fabrications (42:21).
The hadiths were satan's trick to separate the muslims from the Quran. He made muslims ASSOCIATE the hadiths to the word of God. He made the muslims IDOLIZE Muhammad. Muslims today say that Allah and the Quran is not enough and that we need to read the sunna of a man to go to jannah. They say that we cannot understand the Quran without the hadiths. According to God, the only people who cant understand it are the arrogants (17:46).
They say Muhammad is better then the other prophets, wich, according to the Quran, is not true. They say Muhammad is the best of all creations, wich is a form of idolatry. They even added Muhammad rassulallah after la ilahailallah, giving an associate to God. In the Quran, it is clear that the shahada is only Lailahailallah (3:18). They write Muhammad in the masjids and mention other then Allah (like companions and ahlulbeit). It is completly against the quran that tells us to only mention Allah in the masjids (72:18). Muslim sects are now part of the "people of the book".
Prophet Muhammad was not Shia or Sunni. The Final Prophet was an Utmost Submitter to GOD Alone; he was a Muslim to GOD, not to his own sunna. He followed the Quran and NOTHING ELSE. He did not mention his own name next to God's name when doing salat. This was invented after his death to idolize him. Almighty GOD has Condemned Sectarianism in the Quran. Therefore, those who call themselves anything beside being a muslim (sunni, shia, sufi, etc), they are not muslims to GOD, they are Muslims to Satan and to men, without being aware of it. This is why they are murderously killing each other and everybody hates them.
God, in the quran, said that he made the world against the people of israel and cursed them, because they rebelled. Now, the curse is on the " muslim world". Since muslims now left the true teachings of God and added their own rules. Look how muslims are suffering now because they broke their covenant. Look at how women are treated in muslim countries. Muslims say they love aisha or mariam or fatima but they treat their women like garbage in the 2 most powerful "muslim" countries, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Dont you see the irony in that?
Praise be to GOD, the Only Lord, the Only Savior! May he guide us all inshallah. Everybody should sincerily ask God for guidance EVERY DAY. And read the Quran EVERY DAY. And meditate on each verse without using tafsir. If you use tafsir, it's like you're asking for scholars to guide you. If you meditate on the verses, you are asking God to guide you. First times are a little hard maybe, but then you become better and better at it. Each new time you read it, you understand it with a deeper and a deeper understanding.
God, please help us, guide us and make us know what we do not know.
      Allah u Akbar

I've done haram things out of curiosity and maybe also to fit in. Now that I'm back at the track, I've restrained myself and avoided some "occasions" for long. Really? You love 'em all? How about Quran 22:10-20 (eternal suffering for infidels)
“Garments of fire have been prepared for the unbelievers. Scalding water shall be poured upon their heads, melting their skins and that which is in their bellies. They shall be lashed with rods of iron.
“Whenever, in their anguish, they try to escape from Hell, back they shall be dragged, and will be told: ‘Taste the torment of the Conflagration!'”
Or how about Quran 3:10 (infidels nothing but fuel for the fires of hell)
"Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They are themselves but fuel for the Fire."
Or how about Quran 7:176 (infidels are like dogs)
"And had We willed We could have raised him by their means, but he clung to the earth and followed his own lust. Therefore his likeness is as the likeness of a dog: if thou attackest him he panteth with his tongue out, and if thou leavest him he panteth with his tongue out. Such is the likeness of the people who deny Our revelations. Narrate unto them the history (of the men of old), that haply they may take thought.
Or how about Quran 4:144 (don't befriend infidels)
"O ye who believe! Choose not disbelievers for (your) friends in place of believers. Would ye give Allah a clear warrant against you?
The one that warms my heart the most Quran 8:12 (butcher infidels)
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
What a rosy and uplifting book! There are so many other passages like these it would make your heart melt with joy! Sorry if it makes us infidels feel a little bit, well, Islamophobic! Congratulations for being able to detect the beauty and compassion under Allah's veneer of glaring hatred.

How I came back to Islam:
I heard the Ahadith which states the difference between a Muslim and a Kafir is Salah.
I then realized Salah is prescribed upon us and we are Commanded (not asked) to perform 5 daily prayers.
Then I found out that on The Day Of Judgement, the first question asked from us will be did you pray 5 times? If the answer is no, then no further judgement and straight Hellfire for you.
I also realized we have free will to do whatever we want and if we still obey and worship our Master, we’ll get Paradise In Shaa Allah.
So after finding out these facts, I have not missed a single prayer, especially for this temporary Dunya, which is Paradise for the disbelievers.
Even if I did miss prayers, I know that Allah forgives and He loves to forgive, but we just gotta sincerely ask.
May Allah SubhanahuAzzawajal guide us, keep us guided and enter us in his Paradise without any punishment, Allahuma Aameen.

"Then I found out that on The Day Of Judgement, the first question asked from us will be did you pray 5 times?" // Is this statement based on the Quran? If no, this may be a delusion. In fact, you can do 5 prayers/day, but at the same time do a lot of other bad things. For example, you may be wasting non-renewable resources, you may be selling a products with the so called "planned obsolesce", you may be investing in warfare, you may abuse you wife, and so fouth.

I came in 2011. and next year i go to high school and thank Allah SWT that i found my path toward Islam once again through you and DR Zakir Naik and many other speakers. I will start praying as much as i can, Every day i listen to more and more different speeches on islam and nasheeds, and i don't feel empty inside anymore. I feel alive more and more.

In indonesia, there was an ustadz and he is an ex-agnostic from a devoted christian family for over 2 years. When he became agnostic, he really wanted to know about the other religions and tried to find out about God from other religions’ perspective. And alhamdulillah, after for a long time searching, he ended up being a muslim. He chose islam for the rest of his life. And then, half of his family are interseted too with islam. That ustadz finally can lead his brother and his father to the light of islam with the help of Allah.

As salamu aleikum all my sisters and brothers in islam.
Alhamdulillah I have same story as My teacher Nouman Ali who teaches me learning Quran on Bayyan TV.
may Allah Azza wajala'a reward you akhii.
My story is little bit different from you!
I came to United States last summer and I was born and raised as a Muslim. Alhamdulillah.
In my whole life I used to ask myself questions how does God looks like and what is the purpose of me while I was 6years old.
My dad is religious but he was business man. So he spent his time on the world. My Mum was a business woman as well and she use to pray and worship allah Azza wajala'a and my whole life I thought Islam is just being tough and pray fasting, giving zaka'a. But totally I don't ever never think islam has anything to do with my religion.
I came United States and I enter the life of teenagers here. Subxanallah the life of teenagers here and the life my parents want me to life is totally different .... So I did the same as you became two person.
Finally I go too far having bf but alhamdulilah we are both Muslims.
Allah knows my hurt that boyfriend was being too much just like non-muslims and my parents are know in the city religious family so I was keeping their dignity. I was encouraging the guy to be good and finally I end up being good.
Wallahi allah's mercy is such a beautiful thing that we can't get no where.
I use to say may Allah guide and allah guides me.
My story is too long but finally before months ago I repent and start seeing knowledge of islam and I asked allah to make me learn it and I opened my heart.
Within months Alhamdulillah I start giving dawah start from my two little bother and nephew... Then the whole family and now I got apprutunity to talk about islam in my school. Alhamdulillah I am 18years old now and I am so proud and grateful to allah that I am a muslimah. Not only that I am so happy to meet allah Azza wajala'a who we receive everything from him if it's mercy, forgiveness, asking amd giving, the guandance he gave us, I just can't count what allah Azza wajala'a gave us. Alhamdulillah wa aleikum salam.

I was muslim then I got married to soon to a wife who was more experienced and strict as a Muslim but I wasn't ready I didn't educate myself on Islam and I had lots of problems of abuse growing up and anxieties. I was a bad husband and she divorced me rightfully so then years of lying to myself thinking I was happy but I loved Islam I finally hit bottom and I thought it was to late but a good brother who didn't judge my past gave me shahada again and I'm back as a Muslim. I was so alone before and as Muslims we need support and love to each other but unfortunately in muslim community alot of evil and judgment exists dividing muslims. I love all my muslim brothers and sisters I don't care about your past come back to Islam and we pray for muslims who can be judging. A great video inspiring to me thank you

I felt too ashamed to ask for help to learn about my faith, people & family members will judge you I thought how is it a grown adult didn't know how to pray. It's never too late to go educate yourself, Islam belongs to all of us not just the perfect people with no mistakes.

I was one of those people who do the obligations in Islam but without knowing the reasons why we have to do it, for almost 30 years I continued living like that. I did salah, zakah, fasting out of obligation only not because I wanted to do it. Until one day, when Allah tested me with one of his tribulations, I started reading Quran with the translation, they were Ar-Rahman, Al-Waqiah and Al-Mulk. Masha Allah... It really opened my eyes and my heart, because I just realized that I've been missing a lot about the truth of Islam, I was ashamed of my past. After that slowly I started learning more deeper about Islam, things that I didn't know even before, and now I didn't even listen to music anymore, I never go to places that Allah doesn't like, like malls (market) etc, I started doing salah diligently. The thing is when you have a beautiful connection with Allah, you feel your soul is so full with everything, you are so content with everything that you have, you don't even chase dunya anymore because you know that your reward will be worth it in the end.
May Allah guides us all to his light and grant us the highest jannah. aamiin ya rabbal alamiin

I got to finally get to see brother khan speak in person tonight . I was so excited a month ago to find out he would be coming to Milwaukee tonight . But let me start bi saying he is amazing in person such a great speaker and I can't express how enjoyable it was to listen . But was sad to say he is not the energetic happy fun in person as he is on stage . He made me feel like a nobody when I approached . And I just simply wanted a picture with him and to tell him he has been such an inspiration to me in the past years and that he helped me find my way back to Islam . And I when I asked if it would be ok if I can take a pic with him and he said yes but make it quick he didn't even raise his head or acknowledge me when my son took the pic I was so embarrassed in front of my son . I felt so bad I almost left the lecture but I stayed . But like I said he is a fantastic speaker and very inspiring to listen to . But just warning not to ask for a picture or expect to have a conversation .

I feel sorry for you. I understand you very well but on the other I also understand how he could have behaved like that. He's like a 'star' now and so many muslims must come to him everyday like you did. It must be a real full time job to be receptive to everyone he crosses, over his actual job of delivering lectures here and there in the world which must be stressful and tiring. He does make mistakes like everyone else. Anyway, I guess you are very upset and disappointed and if so I understand this, but I also recommend you don't bother too much about this, since I'm sure that you could have had a totally different conversation if you had come to him at a random more 'relax' occasion.
      Salam.
