When scrapping the equipment, if they still have usable hydraulic cylinders, they might be worth saving. Sell them at a reasonable price. From a DIY standpoint, I personally would love that. New ones are rather pricey. End of ramble.
I believe he said in another video they take them off to sell them separately as aluminum scrap but will not sell the rims as used rims to customers due to liability reasons.

Get a thick plate or slab of concrete for things to set on before you drop the plate. The dirt absorbs a lot of the impact.
