"It's my party and I cry if I want to" ... is even older than you think - original version was released in 1957. It has been sampled and covered about a gazillion times since then. In the US, the most well-known cover is probably by Jessie J - while over here in Europe I think it's a 1981 cover by Dave Stewart.
