Thank you so much for this. Mine started crackling after just 2 weeks. Turns out one of the screws came loose and was stuck on the main speaker. Super easy to follow and put back together!

People say stereo is better than mono, but one thing I noticed when making a diy speakers is mono is louder and good bass and also less battery usage. I think jbl made these mono is because of one of these things. I might be wrong 😅
Yeah louder but not always better. Dusk speakers capture more sound experience than mono which pushes all sound through a single channel.
Its loud because its like compressing the stereo sound into mono sound. But technically sterio has better sound quality especially on instrument separation section
You are definitely wrong
Mono sound will only be louder, but not with the same quality as stereo sound, stereo sound achieves more detail and separation than mono sound
Although it is fine for a portable speaker, stereo sound would usually not be necessary in a compact speaker like this
What is impendance of woofer and tweeter?
Your speaker is great, but the DINDIN bluetooth speaker I got a while back is also really good.
flip 5 also had a mic but its function was removed in firmware but it was phisicly there and in the newer flip5s it was removed completly.
The biggest question is how hard was it to put it all back together? 😅

What is the 3rd wire for main woofer used for ?
why does yours have those thick black strips on the sides of the case, mine only have a thin tape like thing that covers most of the area and not just strips. does it mean it's fake?
Damn I remember buying my brother flip 2 and myself charge 2+ with later getting jbl extreme in 2016 but, I forgot about it and they already have flip 6, extreme 3 and charge 5, ended up getting aiwa exos 9 as first jbl boombox was too expensive at 500usd while lacking features aiwa exos 9 has, such as quick swappable battery packs and more but then jbl came up with party boxes, I wish those were in 2008 when they really were needed...

Ambos son buenos oradores, a mí me gusta el aspecto físico del flip con los radiadores pasivos duales y jbl siempre me suena muy bien. Si tuviera que comprar algo que colocaría en algún lugar del mostrador o de la estantería, entonces la bengala sería una mejor opción.

I’d guess so, as I saw another video comparing the GG and TL “version”, to me 2 different suppliers for JBL (thus some variations on the same spec), the GG tweeter is not attached by 2 screws. Speaking of these 2, there is an opinion that Flip 6 GG sounds better than TL, reversely from Flip 5, TL sounds better! Confusing? 😀
at what point of this dissasembly does the speaker become no longer waterproof? I dropped mine and the fabric cover popped of at one spot, is it no longer waterproof? Thanks!
The cover shouldn't affect the waterproof rating of the speaker...I would inspect the speaker to make sure there's no cracks, damage, etc from the drop beside the cover.
@@HBV90 got it, thanks for the quick response! it’s within the return period but no damage and the cover just snapped back in so should be fine
After disassembling the speaker's passive radiator and speaker unit, the waterproofing no works.
All my connections are glued and soldered so i cant fully take it apart.... Watwr damadged on forst day 😅

From the woofer size and shape, it looks like GG model. TL model has different shape woofer

That speaker sucks because it’s a MONO speaker. You need 2 tweeters and 2 woofers to have STEREO. I’ll pass on this.
First off there’s no space to fit 2 woofers and 2 tweeters. Second of all is that having stereo speakers so close in such small wouldn’t make any sense as the speakers would be too close for you to even tell about the stereo.
@@ramus9 The thing is, having it be in stereo would be helpful. Mono Bluetooth speakers do this thing where out of phase information is deleted. A good example is track 5 off the Deus Ex Game of the Year edition soundtrack cd. Certain notes in the music gets deleted on a mono BT speaker. When it's a stereo one it doesn't cut out parts of the music like that. Also, sometimes people upload youtube videos where the microphone was wired out of phase when the video was recorded. A video like this the person's voice will be cut out on a mono BT speaker any you can't hear them talking.
