It's a great cheap beginner tool, but I find that the tracking breaks far too easily on the hands. There is a completely free version called DSS Body Tracking that just got released, that is buggy now with how it makes your avatar's eyes and other parts of the body react, but the actual TRACKING of the arms and hands is much much more ....diverse. with DSS, i can cross my arms in front of me, or put them behind my head and my model will do that.
In this program, WMC, you cannot do that because it will break the tracking , which immeidately resets the position of your avatar or freezes that, meaning you have to move in strict, precise motions that can come off robotic.
If DSS body tracking gets a few updates, i personally believe it'll be the better option.

Hey! I love this tutorial just got a quick question, i managed to blink, open my mouth and got the hand tracking but the expressions dont work anymore, is there a solution to this?
The free version wont open up and gives me an error
'Windows cannot find 'webcam_motion_capture.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.'

Heyya! So, everything works, but, I cant seem to load the vrm file. I mean I can, but whenever I do it completely stops moving, and if I try to reload it it merely T-Poses. The only avatar I can use is the default one, as both my VRM files seem to show up, then not work. Got any advice to help?
can i use the handtrack of the program using only my iphone (i have it for the blendshapes and expressions) or i will need to use another camera for the handtrack?
Hello I have a problem that everything goes smoothly but from one moment to another the fps drop, but when I raise my hands to track it is fixed, but if I lower them they go down again after a while.
I have a question if anyone knows. I want to use the T.I.T.S system which means I need vseeface, but I also want the face capturing that webcam motion capture gives with the tongue and cheeks (just better expressions with the iphone app)
Everytime I try to hook them all up together, I don't get the expressions just the movements... Any hints or is this just not avaliable yet?
Is there any method to use the Webcam Motion Receiver with just my webcam? I don't have any fancy phones to use waidayo or anything. My model is just t-posing in the receiver . The website says:
"In the "Select Camera" section on the Webcam Motion Capture window, try each button one-by-one until you find the target camera." I do not see such a window anywhere. There's a dropdown menu to load or save "User Settings" but it seems it cannot be edited.
Aloha, How did you get your WMC to move smothly, it doesnt matter what i do the reciever program that has the Avtar is in no matter how slow i move my arms they jump and jerk about, in the video window the skeleton seems to work just fine with tracking my arms and fingers, but the viewer it jerks all over the place, so im alittle at a loss as i dont see any kind of options i can modify, its like its lagging inbetween the two programs, im getting 60fps just fine and if i use the animated stuff the avatar moves nice and smooth, its just the tracking..
so you need an iphone plus your laptop webcam to motion track hands and mouth/head? Also, is there an avatar creator where you can create animals instead of humans? thanks

So when you are doing this, do you need a screen behind you in real life to help with the motion capture? So if something moves in the background it doesn't mess with the webcam?

I have taken the paid subscription of it, just wanted to know how can I use its api to download some input videos after processing them through this.
My webcam never loads for some reason. I checked the Mac settings to allow the app to access the camera, but the app does not show up. Does anyone know how to fix that? I'm using the "try it free" version. And for some reason, the software is not showing up in the finder, either. I've downloaded it, but it's not there even though I can open to the starter window where the "T" character is. Edit--I can open the receiver, but when I click the webcam motion capture icon, it won't open no matter what I do. Hmmm
Super helpful! I cry because I don't have an iPhone for Waidayo so it doesn't seem worth it just yet as the face tracking for it is a bit oof when I try it.
Definitely love it with waidayo the quick controls for regular facial tracking are useful for some too. I hear they're making improvements too

Yes. That feature should be unlocked with the full version.

After selecting waidayo like you said to capture from your phone, I'm having no luck with any facial tracking. The model and hands move, but there's no expressions. Any advice? ;;;
It's likely the IP of Waidayo vs your PC. Find your ipv4 address using VSeeFace or CMD prompt. If those match already try adjusting the port numbers up a few (30540...39541...etc)

Not working, did you copy the port number from Webcam motion Capture to VSeeFace? My VSeeFace character isn't moving at all, stuck on Tpose
Nevermind, got frustrated and reset my VSeeFace to factory settings, that did the job

I'm not actually sure on that one but I'd definitely suggest checking with them.

Weird. My avatar in VSeeFace stays stuck in Tpose. Trying to figure this one out.
If your avatar in VSeeFace is Tposing then likely you can get around it by splitting the ports. Move your Port for Waidayo to a different number then use the secondary receiver to catch your body movements from Webcam Motion Capture.
Can i use webmotion capture directly to obS Or do i still need vseeface?
You can use it straight to obs. You'll just need to do a greenscreen

With the new exporting feature, so long as there is an ability to import a signal it should work. I've never used ok vup
