Personally don’t understand how women wear so much makeup everyday. And she was poor, a poor little rich girl after the father who r**** her; cut her off.
I've spent (wasted?) my life chasing/pursuing this type of girl. Hard to explain but although it's never worked out in the long run (maybe because girls like this aren't meant for "the long run") I wouldn't change a thing.

Edie was an adorable person. Poor edie, to caught up in everything. Bob Dylan wanted her to leave the factory , come with him but she wouldn't leave. In a few years she was dead. Poor edie.

Andy Warhol was an egoistic fool. S much ego, drugs, lost people he drew in and and created a pretentious, big drug, sex scene that scewed so many up, fatal for some. But blame is there from me. Warhols motivation for money and notoriety was lethal for others. 🙌🙄
I hadn't ever heard the actual group sing this song only an acoustic guitarist at the bar I use to work at. This song is like fingernails on chalkboards combined with the amplified sound of howler monkeys being skinned alive by hyaenas with Tourette's syndrome.... I guess what I'm saying is I don't particularly like this caterwauling and wish I hadn't looked it up.
I like Eddie's funky hat with the goggles

Großartig, Edie, Candy Darling, ein New Yorker Betonstern, strahlt noch immer :)
Great song, masterpiece from Velvet Underground and Nico. Nico's voice is very distinctive and lovely.
I Love her !! God bless her
I lived through the heroin destruction in the eighties. It's bitter sweet idolising them. Rest in peace- both of you now
beautiful haunting perfect song

just look into her false coloured eyes

see the way she walks, hear the way she talks
you're written in her book,
you're number 37 take a look
she's going to smile to make you frown, what a clown
little boy she's from the street
before you start your're already beat
she's going to play you for a fool
yes it's true
'coz everybody knows... she's a femme fatale
things she does to please, sees just a little tease
see the way she walks, hear the way she talks
she will try to put you doen, the hardest girl around
'coz everybody knows... she's a femme fatale
things she does to please, sees just a little tease
she's a femme fatale.
She did it, broke my stupid heart.
