My wife showed me this video right now... I'm still laughing!
These parody videos are a kick.

The most essential tools of a buckaroo are skill and knowledge..If people spent near as much time, acquiring the skill and knowledge as they do looking the part, they might actually become handy...

Agreed, it takes years of blood, sweat, tears, and wet saddle blankets. It literally takes all of your time to make a true bridle horse

If I had my night latch as loose as yours I'd bust my hand on the pommel lol. To each his own ❤️

Stirrups didn't need a heel stop before the Buckaroos started wearing roper boots.

Remember the connector strap between the two cinches, a must have. Your saddle is very similar to mine, full Q.Horse bars, swells, the size of your built- up style. My horse bucked with other saddles because the vars were not wide enough. I researched the second saddle I had by the brand and serial number. Found out it was only 3 quarters width bar. I took that saddle and traded it in on my present saddle. We are both happy now, this saddle will outlast me. Liked your video.

its funny how different things are depending on where you cut your teeth. Down here, it's swells and oxbows. It's kinda hard to knock swells when you have bucking rolls and sugar strap! lol. Enjoyed the video brother!

Great video! Short and to the point. Nice to see another perspective when it comes to style and equipment. As for the Nay Sayers pay them no mind. If they want more information on things like taps and a riata they shouldn't look for it in a 7 minute video. Keep it up!

Ya forgot one thing, a gnarly mustache! That is numero uno on the buckaroo list. Just kiddin bud , great video and explains a lot and in layman’s terms for those that simply do not know. Greetings from the old Cheyenne/Arapaho wintering grounds🤙🏻

I thought you did a great job! The critics on here don’t have a sense of humor or are too lazy to look up what a tapadero or reata is. Students nowadays just want to be spoon fed, haha.

The early Buckaroos didn´t have Wade Saddles, they used a Flat Seat Tree.
The Wade Saddle didn´t come out untill 1962 built by Dale Harewood in Pendelton Oregon.
Never liked the Wade Saddle, too hard to FORK THE HORSE, spread my legs too far apart, it put me too far back on my tailbone throwing my balance off.
    Never understood the Bucking Rolls?
If you want to have a secure seat then get a saddle with SWELLS.
Quallity and Function are built into the saddle..not put on after.

What happened to the rawhide trim on the horn and pommel? I’m about to order a saddle with rawhide trim but if it won’t hold up I won’t get it.

I have a literally 100 year old ranch used platte valley saddle with rawhide trim so i think it depends more on the manufacturer.

It’s a Colorado Saddlery wade, a lot of buckaroos with scoff and make fun of it because it’s a factory saddle but I don’t really care, I guess it comes with the territory lol

Why would you title something THE ESSENTIALS OF BLAH BLAH BLAH, then throw some strange jargon at people wanting to understand the topic, the telling them "Start over on your cowboy education if you don't know what that is"? This IS the start of our cowboy education! And BTW, an introduction is pretty much standard CZcams wide on al these "essentials" videos... If you don't know what that is, start over on your Makin' a Video education, cuz I don't have time to explain it.

      @peterrefshaw6934  Před 3 lety +1

My apologies, I'm definitely no expert at making videos. A rieta is a rawhide rope and tapaderos are big leather covers that go on the front of your stirrups to protect your feet from brush, sticks, etc.

Who ever told you how to be one! No one in their right mind would ride that POS Colo. saddlery saddle! Where did you get the rolls Walmart? most ride with a 3/4 rig and no back cinch or collar! And if they do it is a martingale!
