Des Morgens aber hielten alle Hohepriester und die Ältesten des Volks einen Rat über Jesum, daß sie ihn töteten. Und bunden ihn, führeten ihn hin und überantworteten ihn dem Landpfleger Pontio Pilato. Da das sahe Judas, der ihn verraten hatte, daß er verdammt war zum Tode, gereuete es ihn und brachte herwieder die dreißig Silberlinge den Hohenpriestern und Ältesten und sprach:

The most beautiful voice to ever sing this aria. Love Julia Hamari. And love the violin soloist I believe his name was Otto. Exquisite.

Julia Hamari, voz divina; Otto Buchner, virtuosismo puro en violín y Karl Richter, el gran artífice de esta obra de la genialidad de J. S. Bach, el más grande genio de la música de todos los tiempos.

Wonderful interpretation,magnetic and stunning,of which most of the best singers could learn because Julia Hamari sings from her soul,and there can not be a better interpretation than that. It makes myself remember what life really means,and revives the essence of Bach's music,the trascendental message underneath the notes.

Even considering matters of performance practice and all that, this performance is absolutely stunning. I weep every single time I see this. The beauty of it transcends the question of how Bach would have heard it in his day.
