Lego Christmas Village 2022 - Gigantic Lego Christmas Display

- Gigantic Lego Christmas Village using tens of thousands of Lego Bricks with a Lego Train and containing hundreds of lights. The lego display stands on a customized wooden platform and measures 220cm x105cm and reaches a height of 210cm.
This is an all original lego build, not using any sets. It took more than 3 years to make. It was a family effort and we really loved making it. We will make a video showcasing how we built this gigantic lego display.
The lights we use come from Brickstuff. Their lights are easy to use and come with special effects and battery pack solutions for moving items like the lego train.

Love the color palette so much. Very warm and inviting and all the little scenes and details are perfect. The layout and scale of it all is amazing. Definitely my new favorite winter village MOC.

I love your cat...s/he wants to inspect everything and chase after the train (and anything else that moves) but ultimately, s/he is so polite - just sniffing everything and making sure all is well in the Village. My cats also USUALLY take care to practice self-control, especially after they've watched the entire process of building things; however Seamus and Maximus both recently took apart my Santa's workshop and now I have to build it again. I think they whacked it off the table to see if it would make a satisfying tinkly crash like glass does when it falls. 🤣

One question: where did you get all those pieces?
They are very homogeneous in color and type, I don't think you had them at home by chance.
Have you bought a barrel of browns, half a barrel of whites and a few bags of the other colors?
In short, if you want to build something like this, how do you get the right pieces?

The style of the buildings comes from old German wood and stone buildings and the general feeling we were going for is a gigantic Christmas market and feast

How do you store it! It’s beautiful
The wooden base and the lego village itself break up in two parts of roughly 1x1 meters. The buildings and trees come off and then we can move it into our garden shed. We will probably just leave it in location year round though. The kids and their friends love playing with it
