This is in my opinion the most playable and realistic look of minecraft. Good framerate and great visuals on rtx 3080. Patrix is a great resource pack for the no cubes mod as it supports many connected textures through optifine.
This time we will be exploring the world!

The fact that your pc can run this on frames per second and not seconds per frame is amazing.
Lets hope he's PC does'nt smoke and explode.
Seconds per frame = SPF= Sun protection factor so the PC wont overheat

He just pulled his wallet out and bought a good PC. PS5 wouldn't be able to run this. It'd be basically unplayable, AMDs ray tracing isn't nearly as good as Nvidia plus the consoles GPU is down clocked because Sony and Microsoft don't know how to add more than 1 fan to the goddamn case. So yeah, on PS5 this would be like 15 fps.
It's so realistic you could even smell the smoke out of his computer.

@@gotdisgotdatentertainment1432 I did say in my original comment visually dated, not to do with gameplay. Mainly around how the triangles reminded me of how PS1 games had their environments heavily triangle based with warping textures etc.
Obviously the actual texture quality and geometry detail is higher than PS1, but it just reminded me of PS1.
The texture pack has a very medieval style to it. I must say I dig it.

This seems very fun for the type of player who just adventures in the overworld. As soon as I saw the buildings up close, it got weird. But still, very good and picturesque

PS I hated spiders already. This just makes them even more terrifying.
The rain sound effects at 7:46 honestly should be that way in the jungle currently. The birds chirping and ambient sound. It would be cool if each biome had different weather based on it's biome
Biomes actually got their own weathers, just not as crazy as real life.

There is a mod for that but minecraft needs ambient sounds and new music choices too. Default music is depressing
Minecraft needs more ambience i feel, so it would be neat for mojang to add new biome specific ambient sounds.

My favorite thing about voxel-based games is that they were designed specifically so you could have massive randomly generated open worlds without having to have a ridiculous amount of processing power, or worrying about how the graphics would mesh together. And as soon as it came out we have continued to ask how do we make it less cubey? Absolutely phenomenal.
Well, curiosity is one of humans' strongest traits, also satiety. We will want upgrades and higher quality of whatever we already got. If you get one thing you'll want another thing. You get boxes then you want balls. You get synthetic then you want organic. You get pixelated then you want realism.
It's just the regular question of What If.

Even the best of modern pcs in the gaming market can't quite cut it for that kind of workload imo. Maybe it'll change with quantum computing CPUs compared to the relatively weak traditional CPUs

This looks incredible in some aspects, and in others the changes are jarring. Maybe Im just used to blocks lol. At any rate, this would obliterate my laptop so shout out to your beast of a computer for running this smoothly.
It ain't just you dw, the no cubes mod only look good on terrains and environment. Anything that looks man-made like the villages look bad with it

Honestly, I'm not installing a mod that removes cubes and I would strongly urge other gamers to do the same. Because Minecraft is about the blocks, it's the essence of the game.

Edit 2: and i saw that some people say that the *mod* Dynamic Surroundings is the same thing if you want to experience sunlight and animal sounds. I meant like not on pc but on PE and Bedrock but you can turn them on and off like you can do with the clouds but they shouldn't add sunlight cause it will ruin this amazing game. They should add sounds tho.
And if they added a feature where you place villagers and the villagers grow and build houses that would be great

It's far from perfect, but it's easily the most convincing no cubes mod I've ever seen.
There's got to be a better way of implementating the "no cubes" concept! What we have now is great, but it also looks pretty jank sometimes

Wow I'm actually really into this. I could ignore the clipping and various texture issues, this feels really fresh. Love the way that remnants of the cuboids remain in the clouds, mobs, etc

I like the way shaders are fitting with the texture pack and irregularly shaped blocks. It reminded me of that game called "Lords of Uberdark".
it looks amazing! I am a bit sad that I will never have the equipment to play such minecraft, but I am happy that I could watch this movie. These sound effects, this Physics Mod, these textures, this mod without blocks and these shaders make this the most beautiful minecraft movie I've ever seen

It's crazy that Minecraft has soo much potential even after so many years.
Even after thousands of upgrades and mods there is a lot lot more than can be done to improve the experience and make it even better.
This game is on another level in those terms

I used to play a game called Dink Small wood, and holy this just really reminds me of it. It's a RPG game and all the sound effects bring back alot of memories, thanks for making this man! earned my sub :)
DUDE I remember Dink Smallwood! I was thinking the same thing actually, the textures invoke a very similar feeling. I remember it being one of the best open-source games I ever found when I was in middle school hunting for games and programs using the good old apt-get searches lol
