Fun fact: Japanese Oni can be different colors so I won’t be surprised if the Forbidden 5 are Oni, Oni in the Japanese mythology can be red, pink, or a blue gray! If they were Oni it would an amazing way to explore more of the Oni species in Ninjago!

Another theory: arin's spinjitzu isn't really spinjitzu. It is actually shatterspin. He could be the first person to use shatterspin in a new form (good form) not an evil form which makes him special.
that actually makes a lot of sense it also explains why its shape looks more like shatter spin then spinjistu.
A possibility since his Spinjitzu looks simpler to shatter spin. Maybe he is the very first human to learn shatter spin in good form by himself
Surprisingly this makes so much sense. The form that Arin does looks a lot like Shatterspin rather than Spinjitzu.
This creates so much more interest in Shatterspin and a lot more story writing and lore regarding Arin and the Spinjitzu and Shatterspin techniques.

What if Nokt was the very first elemental master of lightning and over the centuries his powers were passed down through his descendants until Jay possessed them, it would make an interesting character arc of Ras forcing Nokt to teach Jay how to completely master his element so he can use them against the ninja

It will be cool if they do something like the 4 elements of creation, but that they are 4 elements of destruction and that the fifth member is like Lloyd with a combined power of all the other 4 members.

I think Nokt is a keeper, who has been corrupted with ancient evil powers, and his color scheme looks similar to the wolf clan. Everybody can be a elemental master, not just humans. He could be like Garmadon, his appearance changes because of evil in his body.
I like to think that Nokt is maybe part Oni and part Keeper cause he looks like them or maybe someone captured some of the Keepers to turn them evil like that and or did some experiences on some Oni's as well to make them look like that.
If they are Oni's so it's going to be awesome,than we will have drama with Lloyd again 😂, but if they are Onis ,don't you think the one of the masters will fight and not just defeat so easily? , Lloyd isnt a good exuse because he doesn't use his Oni's powers. So I don't think they are Onis, but if they are, Lloyd is going to go crazy,he doesn't love Onis and it can be fun to see him trying to kill them because his obsession

I think that the forbidden five could be part oni but their elements aren’t from the source dragons and that’s why their forbidden. We know that the four main elements (Ice, lightning, fire, earth) are from the source dragons and all over elements are derived from them, except water and wind. Water and wind belong to waljira (sorry spelling properly wrong) and never belonged to the dragons. So what if similarly the forbidden fives elemental power comes from the oni as well as them being part oni? What if Garimdons elemental power is also directly from the oni that’s why it works differently, like in the sense he needs to charge it by fighting.
Water and wind never belonged to fsm but we already saw a wind dragon in hunted

My theory for Nokt is he's the Elemental Master of Souls, here are my reasons why:
-He's blue, which can be associated with souls
-He is still an EM, which rules out things like water/lightning
-He could've asked souls to help him learn shatterspin
-It's an overall creepy element

I have a theory regarding Ras' master, i think its likely that his master is the strength source dragon for a few reasons, 1. throughout the season ras is talking about how strength is most important and how his master 'taught' him strength, secondly when ras has his visions he levitates similar to how lloyd does when he recieves his visions, and in episode 10 lloyd had a vision and it was mainly focusing on one of the source dragons, the red one (im pretty sure thats the strength dragon) and this would explain how the shadow dojo just randomly moved.
The red symbol is the one of the Motion SD. The strength one is the black one

My theory is that in “sons of garmadon” somewhere they mention the oni masks as “warlords of the oni” and a similarity to the forbidden five member we know the design of the teeth facing down unlike regular oni (not counting the orange one the one’s teeth is facing up) so I think that they are the “warlords” mentioned and it makes sence why the masks would have powers (aka the forbidden fives powers) we haven’t seen there powers yet also idk why there wouldn’t be 2 other masks but mistake said “there relics from the first realm” who is to say the not all the oni masks made it to ninjago that’s just my theory

I have a theory were the Overlord is a banished source dragon, and he wants to capture the others as revenge
I think maybe only not could be one out of the forbidden five as they did say that they each conquered their own specific realms so they might all be different species maybe ones that we have seen before in the show .

Elemental Oni? I thought he was an ancient human, like the Islanders, though that is confusing.
I honestly think they were normal people with elements, taught spinjitsu by Egalt, and turned to evil for unlimited power, creating shatterspin.
I really think Egalt trained them, he seems to slightly bring up past students he doesn't like . . . as if he felt partially responsible for shatterspin and the forbidden five, hence why he doesn't like or trust humans.
If Garmadon learned shatterspin, well we know who would learn it next. I bring that up because Garmadon is part oni, with an oni form, and who else has one….
The shatterspin thing would work more early on but if oni lloyd ever returns I still think it should be an endgame type thing unless the ending of DR can outdo any storyline like the USM or oni lloyd

He could but I see more Keeper in him, but we don't know much about the Keepers after they helped the FSM and we KNOW many Oni came after the FSM after he set up the full landmass called Ninjago. So maybe an Oni and Keeper bred and gave birth to Nokt? And aside from Nyad we don't know WHO the First Elemental Masters were before we got the ones we do know from Skylor's ancestor, Morro, the Elemental alliance, and now our current Ninja plus the ones from Imperium.

If people say that garmadon has elemental power of destruction which comes from dragon and he is part dragon so the five cannot be oni

Hey I been following you for awhile now never commented but I want to give my take I feel like the forbidden 5 are at least part Oni and that the idea of shatteredspin was a ancient Oni power cause we know the Oni and dragon had there conflict if you we use some clues what defeats shatteredspin . Rising dragon maybe there trying to do a call back on that cause if you take design and clues I think shatteredspin is a ancient Oni power to help them fight against the dragon and the forbidden 5 was Oni leaders whp mastered there abilities
