SF Dedsec disbanded shortly after the events of WD2 and we already know about the events between then and legion. Within the confines of the story, there’s no point at which Aidan, Marcus, and Wrench would have had the opportunity to work together
How about this: Watch Dogs: Origins How Dedsec first formed, with 3 new original characters, each with their own perks, just like GTA V. No recruitable NPCs because those are empty characters basically.

@@quenditio Sorry, what does _"more into the story"_ mean? For me, each NPC has redundant skills. For example, Constructor Workers have Summon Cargo Drone, but then again you can find Summon Drone docks almost everywhere. Drone Experts have Betray Drone skill, but then again we can purchase that upgrade for every operative. Another thing is since they're generated, they can't really have deep stories and backgrounds, and they can't interact with each other the way Marcus and Dedsec SF interact with each other in Watch Dogs 2, or the way Aiden and Wrench interact with each other in Bloodline.

You know it's actually surprising. I like Aiden more than Marcus but I played the sequel very often only because it had replayable missions unlike either games. But when I heard Marcus on the voicemail after getting to wrench, I was strangely pleased, like hearing the voice of an old friend. Just a little strange but charming.
Watching Wrench and Marcus talking together again on this game gives me chill and I miss them a lot, their characters and crew's relationship feel so real. This reminds me of the Assassin's Creed Desmond's crew too. Totally good quality character writing here.
I’d love if WD3 took place back in San Fran but futuristic like London playing as Marcus and the rest of dedsec with the ability to recruit one or two extra playable characters to dedsec and train them.

When I did the first mission of Devon v Devon I was like it's just another driving mission then when I saw the image of Marcus I went omg bad it brought a smile on my face and the fact they brought up the alien vs predator joke was kinda funny my only hope is we get Marcus in the game

I feel the second watchdogs had the absolute best atmosphere, watchdogs 1 had the best story, and legion had the best gameplay. Also I know everyone thought Aiden was just this boring badass but I like him the best out of all of them.
I really hope the next game follows Wrench and Marcus when he goes back to SanFran or them going to another city (with an Aiden cameo possibly) but I’d also be intrigued to see Wrench and Jordi together doing fixer contracts. The recruitment thing is interesting but I’d rather play as a character that has actual character development that I care about and relegate the recruits to backup on missions (which would set up coop play very well - I much preferred the seamless transition to online coop on WD2 and WD1). They have the recruit system in play now so they can always tweak it for the next game and concentrate on the story and characters.
