- UEFI is one of the most important pieces of software when it comes to booting an operating system on a computer. BIOS being an alternative to UEFI already is less preferred when compared to it. Whether UEFI or BIOS is supported depends on the motherboard. Now some users who use UEFI, have reported that they are experiencing an issue where the UEFI Firmware settings are missing in the Advanced Options screen. This can occur due to several reasons. Maybe Extra Fast Startup is Enabled, Access to the UEFI Menu is blocked, the operating system is installed in Legacy Mode and so on.
If the UEFI firmware settings are missing from the Advanced Options, then this post will show you how to troubleshoot, enable & access UEFI firmware settings in Windows 10, using these methods:
1] Check if your computer supports UEFI
2] Disable Fast Startup
3] Bypass the Extra Fast Startup feature
4] Use a boot to UEFI shortcut
5] Check the CMOS battery

@AdithyaViraj well finally i did go again to features on the start menu and chose WSL Windows subsystem for Lunix and got it activated from there.
@@babysenpai3883do you know how to fix it ?
@@420chewy I did simply activate it from features in the start menu.
My msinfo32 says "Verouderd" in Dutch, I'm guessing that's legacy in English? The shortcut doesn't seem to do anything. I also can't find any UEFI setting in the BIOS or Windows startup options (Acer aspire x3900, shipped with Windows 7 back in the day). I've already updated the BIOS but still no luck so far ...
verouderd means obsolete or out-dated
Op boss u are amazing i saw mimimum 15 to 20 videos but option was not opening but your option is working😊😊😊 love from india
When I click on the new shortcut nothing is happening
USELESS ....none of the options shown make the UEFI settings APPEAR in the " advanced options " of the "restore" settings. WHICH WAS the purpose of the video.
Is there a way for UEFI to work even if the BIOS is on legacy? Nothing is working for me...
