    Sad how most coffee shop baristas have no idea that Africa/Ethiopia is the birthplace of cofffeeee.... Delicious.

      There are a lot of people who don't even know that the Kola Nut (which makes cola soft drinks like Pepsi and Coca-Cola) comes from a tree that is indigenous to West Africa. So it is no surprise about them not knowing about the origin of coffee, an East African/Horn plant.

      They don't even know it was originally presented with salt and not sugar. I'm not kidding btw it still is being presented with salt to this day in some northern parts of Ethiopia. try it, it kicks ass

    I can't believe it ended on starbucks and the music made it seem like it's the crowning achievement of coffee history, bringing speciality coffee to the world... there's nothing special about the coffee at starbucks. It's actually no better than the coffee at McDonalds or your local gas station convenience store in terms of quality. Also, I don't think it has introduced many people to lattes and espressos. They had been popular all over the place for at least 10 years before starbucks was founded. I grew up in a small town in the US where people were probably the least educated about specialty coffees as they could be (they only heard about "expresso" from TV). But, it wasn't starbucks coming to town that enlightened them to the ways of good coffee. It was people starting a local roastery and coffee shop in the town. To this day there's still no starbucks. I still will never understand why people love starbucks so much. It does make a lot of people happy to waste their money there, but let's not act like it has anything to do with specialty coffee. It's the coffee equivalent of vinyl wood paneling.

    ‏The origin of coffee beans was in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 , but the Arabs in Yemen 🇾🇪 were the first to transform coffee into a drink and introduce it to the world. There are many documents and evidence supporting this claim, unlike the legendary story of Kaldi and the Dancing Goats

    Ethiopia invaded now? When it suits you, to justify the influence in the "middle east" of ethiopians you'll talk about the Ethiopian invasion?!?
    Yemen was part of Ethiopia.

    • @betelehemt
      @betelehemt Před 3 lety +3

      @i o Right! Because is hard to believe that Africa was the head of today's "middle east", isn't?
      The only people that come from Yemen to Ethiopia are the first followers of Mohammed.
      The rest is between your imagination and the European manmade maps and borders!

    • @betelehemt
      @betelehemt Před 3 lety +3

      @i o
      Yes. East Africa did "rule" middle east, as if its another part of East Africa. Not claiming, it is what it is!
      Even ancient Greeks would tell you where Ethiopians lived and dwelled.
      Have you ever heard the afroasiatic languages?!
      Berber, Chadic, Cushitic, Egyptian, Omotic and semitic are all family.
      I see it's hard for you to see east Africa is the blueprint for both the genetic diversity and civilisation development which means languages and alphabet too.
