The Oak Park, Illinois School of Rock on stage at the River Forest Food Truck Rally on 26 August 2017. 99 Luftballons by Nena / schoolofrockoakpark locations.schoolofrock.com/oak...
As an American soldier, in what was then West Germany in the early 1980s, I admire the hell that she sang a verse in Deutch. Nina Hagen would be proud.
Dont worry about the people watching youll be gone one day DO YOU who cares who likes it no nerves theres not enough time for it. Heard nerves, you can be better even though it was cool.great job from a 1981 born man.
I remember in school the teachers cast the singer to look like the band rather than the best vocal, it teaches her how to sing, with practice. Put it this way, Im no Barbara Strisand either.
Ok in case these kids actually read the comments, some constructive criticism from one performer to some others. Vocalist should have sung the intro and outro an octave up, would have worked out better for her. Overall they didn’t sound bad. Someone should have been a little more helpful with running sound, vocalist was drowned out pretty bad. Drummer may want to practice a slightly softer touch.
1. the instruments are way to loud / the singers way to quietly. you should not need subtitles to understand the lyrics 2. its a together thing not a 5 people play as they like. One Tempo... sing faster or drum slower and we all agree drum slower and less hard 3. its a deep and meaningfull anti-war song and it has reasons why the first lines are sung in a soft begging voice and the last in a soft pondering regretting tone... the grit choice is off 4. luftbalon.. Luftbal and then ong like in wrong... very short in on the g 5. THATS NOT A 4 MINUTE DRUMSOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111einseinseinself and a litte background to the song: "I don't know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein. 99 Luftballons was created against the background of the last phase of the Cold War in Germany in the 1980s.[1] The stationing of nuclear Pershing II missiles in Germany began in 1983 as a result of the NATO double-track decision of 1979. This nuclear armament led to fears that the danger of nuclear war was increasing and was therefore met with massive resistance from parts of the population. These formed in the peace movement of the 1980s. The idea for the lyrics came to band guitarist Carlo Karges in 1982 at a Rolling Stones concert in West Berlin, when he watched a large number of colorful balloons being released into the sky. Karges wondered what would happen if the balloons drifted across the border into East Berlin and triggered a paranoid reaction there.

The band killed it, the vocals not so much

If your watching.REMEMBER these are children.
Not addults.
Also they want your views on what they do and do not want anything sexual.
The drummer is really loud. Noise pollution. Learn to control
It's how it's supposed to be
It’s a kids concert bro, there’s no mixing board. I was actually pretty impressed with the tone they got.

Damn I'm fixing to go to jail.
