Thanks for inspiring me, I bought a full set of Johnny Bourke pipes from that Famous Crehan family cousin's to Liam O'Flynn and thank God I did, our irish pub doesn't know what they are, so when I see all these clips of the irish you make one little aussie practice harder:::)) Thanks for inspiring me:::))
It's in A major, so you only need a chanter which has a G sharp key and the practice to be able to play it. The basic fingering is similar to an A mixolydian tune like 'Farewell to Erin' or 'The Monaghan Twig'.
Oh I see good thanks thought it was something like that I find that a difficult key to play in even with a g sharp key.Find it much easier in G I note Mickey Dunn is not playing the tune . I think Callum plays a Benedict Koehler chanter and the g sharp key is very reachable on that.Do you have the name of the first tune please ?
Wow Brilliant Performance Guys Well Done
Always love Julie Fowlis! Always love Julie performing with her Irish cousins.

It's "The Gladstone", see thesession.org/tunes/1744
@@Daveythepiper the tune is Gladstone's reel, by James Scott Skinner
This first track has been digitally changed to the key of A surely ?
Daveythepiper doesn’t look like it to me
transposed to the key of A surely. You need to have the G# key on the pipes to achieve that
amirulpipeful well you don’t necessarily need the G# key
