    33:37 No thats not a weird line. Noire might be a cundere and so normally isnt honest about her feelings but she does indeed love Neptune and wishes she could be more open about her feelings more often. So dont shame her when she, pressed by the relief that Neptune is okey after being missing for 2 years, finally has the courage to say something closer to the truth she wants to say!

    I thought it would be a little more “epic”, but Neptune has returned! Though honestly, what happened next ep had me even more excited 👀

    There is nothing wrong with playing a game for free. You can make in-app purchases because you want to support who made the game. Other reasons like because the game's too hard isn't really fun.

    As you suspected, there was no way they were going to really get rid of Nep. She really is the protagonist of protagonists.
    QotD: Could it have been better or more epic? Yes. But you have to recognise that it was totally on character for her, XD

    Gotta love Histoire's reaction to Neptune returning. That was too damn funny. 😂😂
    I'm having some suspicions that Anri might be connected to Grey Sister somehow WAY more than we let on. Don't know the ending of this story just yet since I'm watching the playthrough as it goes on completely blind so my potential idea might be true or not. I'm liking the little era of mystery to the story though, keeps us on our toes. Even though I can predict it, that's not always a bad thing.
    QotD: On the topic of her return, I do think it could have been a little bit more dramatic and honestly thought it was going to be towards the end of the game when she'll finally show up but I'm not bothered by it. I was still excited to see my girl come back regardless! Can't go wrong with ol' Nep!

    The Deity of Sin Arfoire from Re;birth 2 never had a body only a monster form thats what she meant about getting a this new body.
    The only humanoid Arfoire they met up to this point were from the other Dimensions, other then Re;birth 1 but that doesn’t count since it’s a different dimension as well.

    • @SenpaiBlade
      @SenpaiBlade  Před 3 měsíci

      Actually no, that shouldn’t be correct. Uzume’s Arfoire should be the diety of sin Arfoire, as that Arfoire was made from Uzume’s memories. So it was a past version of the Diety of Sin.
      Furthermore, Mina said the Diety of Sin used to live in Lowee. Implying she had a human form at one point.
      Unless they’re retconing something, this Arfoire had to have a body before this, that was familiar to the one she’s using now.

      @patyos2 Před 3 měsíci +4

      @@SenpaiBlade yes exactly the Heart Dimension Arfoire is from a different dimension made of memories from the past.
      The main cast never met the original Hyperdimension Arfoire in her humanoid form though only alternate versions from other dimensions or memories in the case of Heart Dimension

    • @SenpaiBlade
      @SenpaiBlade  Před 3 měsíci

      @@patyos2 You said yes, but it still seems you're saying Uzume's Arfoire wasn't the deity of sin from the Hyperdimension. I'm saying the Arfoire they saw was an image of the Hyperdimension Arfoire, the deity of sin. Because Uzume is a Hyperdimension CPU. Her dimensions are just images from her mind of a destroyed Hyperdimension, but she made Arfoire from her memories as a Hyperdimension CPU. In which case, it had to have been the Deity of Sin Arfoire of the canon verse.
      There is no Megadimension Arfoire, just a memory of the Hyperdimension Arfoire. Meaning Uzume saw the Deity of Sin's human form in the past. Otherwise, she'd have no knowledge of that form.

      @@SenpaiBlade Right, and therefore Uzume is pretty much the only one of the main cast who would know that the Memory of Arfoire they fought was the Deity of Sin's humanoid form. There's a high chance Histoire would also know this too. But to the other main CPUs they wouldnt really have any reason to take her as seriously as they should yet at this point I think

      @@SenpaiBlade you're correct. that arfoire is just memories from a arfoire of the past. the exact one you are mentioning the hyperdimension one but with a human form. tho it seems it has extra dimension parallel memories as well.. oh well. this will need time to TRULY understand mr. blade. i wish you luck.

    You know, thinking about it, the goddesses really had no place to be downplaying this Arfoire. CFW Magic beat the main four and Nepgear. Then Arfoire herself fought the main four, and defeated Neptune by herself. They only beat her once with all 8 goddesses plus the maker characters… Why the heck are they so calm about facing her? 😂 Unless they somehow didn’t guess it’s the Arfoire of their own dimension, or still have access to their NEXT forms (but I doubt that).

      Simple: they can break the fourth wall and know that in this series, a) power scaling is bullshit, and b) it has been over a decade since Arfoire was anything close to a credible threat.
      Arfoire is the Yamcha of _Neptunia,_ and Child Compa could no-diff her; change my mind.

      Not to mention how well the previous generation fared against her. Uranus and her crew ended up losing their bodies (well, Uranus did. We don't know if that also applies to the other goddesses, or if they are completely gone and Uranus is the only one still around as a disembodied voice) and only managed to seal her up

    Planeptune is back~ A lot of hope for the people.
    I agree with Neptune that Arfoire is more serious in this game.. At the same time she's passionate seeking revenge on Nepgear, but also she doesn't react to getting called names by Neptune or other stuff like that. I think I personally would like both sides of Arfoire present. I like both her being silly as well as her acting like a villain, her enjoying the suffering of Nepgear and others. This game has a bit more balance to the serious tone to her, I think, we'll probably have more silliness in next Neptunia series, so overall it'll be balanced, I guess.. ;p

    *1. ("Get the sword!", "Use the sword", "We need the sword!")* They don't *_have_* the sword. The events of the Conquest/Holy Sword route never happened in the canon timeline, so if - emphasis *_if_* - Gehaburn even *_exists_* in the canon timeline, then its current status is what it was at the start of the Conquest/Holy Sword route - lost somewhere in a random Loweean ruin, rusted, blunt, and useless.
    The sword would probably be less useful than throwing _packing peanuts_ at her.
    *2. (**22:30** - **22:39**)* I watched this scene with Japanese voices, and Grey Sister simply says "Behind!", without specifying a pronoun (since Japanese is a language where pronouns usually aren't needed if they can be surmised from context), so this *_may_* be something that was changed in translation, or mistranslated, or something. 🤔
    *(QotD)* As soon as Neptune opened her mouth, I understood _exactly_ why the writers wrote her out of the story for as long as they did: Neptune and a serious, dramatic story are like oil and water.
    I *_promise_* you, if modern Neptune had been in Nepgear's place during Conquest, she would have still been making jokes and not taken the situation seriously.

    • @SenpaiBlade
      @SenpaiBlade  Před 3 měsíci

      1. Yep, that’s what I assumed XD This is my fault since it’s been a while since ep 1, but I said then that I would make jokes about Nepgear having the sword being her game. And with the diety of sin herself in front of Nepgear again, I couldn’t not make it 😂
      (But I do think it exists in canon. Just that Nepgear never heard about it from Mina.)
      2. Ah, gotcha.
      QOTD: While I get what you mean, I think this is more a failing of the writers for not writing her properly. Neptune has been serious before. That’s typically what they save Purple Heart for, but in MK II and in Megadimension, she can get serious briefly. The anime too, but not sure we can count that 🤔
      In this instance, I think a quick acknowledgement that Nepgear held down the fort, and that she was proud of her before she started asking about her games would have been perfect.

    1. *(The Confrontation)*
    Something about all this whole situation seems off, and I'm not talking about the presentation. There's still a load of questioned that still need to be addressed about the events leading up to this point from all perspectives. Certainly more than enough of those unanswered questions make me uncomfortable of what might come after this.
    Frankly, I think we are in for a _very_ rude awakening beyond this point in the story. This is only the end of the beginning...
    QOTD: They could have done a lot better on the presentation side of things. Some extra sound effects to match with certain actions that were implied through the dialogue, an extra CG or two, and maybe a bit better voice direction would have helped a lot here. A bit too much happened at once for it all to flow well as is, so they probably should have worked on it more, but were pressed for budget reasons.

      2. *(Arfoire's Body)*
      Arfoire's comment about her physical appearance matching to her prior humaniod incarnations being entirely coincidental opens up a whole new can of worms about her full history in the Hyperdimension.
      If this is supposed to be the first time the Hyperdimension's Deity of Sin has taken this form, only obtained _recently_ to seek revenge for the events of _Re;Birth 2,_ we have a significant problem that I don't think you've considered. This amounts to some form of temporal anomaly in Gamindustri's past, or an additional facet to the Deity of Sin that we haven't considered yet.
      Let me explain.
      We know for a fact that Uzume had an encounter of some sort with Arfoire in the past before she was sealed away. In the process, Uzume became familiar with the human form, the Deity of Sin form, and the True Deity of Sin form. As a consequence, Kurome was able to manifest all three forms in one entity, as seen during the events of the Zero Dimension Arc of _Megadimension._ Later, during the Heart Dimension arc, she manifests all three forms as individual entities as a demonstration of her own power.
      This is where things get confusing and suddenly become very relevant to current matters. If we take Arfoire at her word regarding her appearance (and she hasn't given us a reason not to do so), then for all intents and purposes, Uzume should not have been familiar with Arfoire's human form in the first place prior to her sealing, nor would Kurome have had any reason to manifest it as an additional form to the Deity of Sin sent to the Zero Dimension as part of her scheme during the events of _Megadimension._ This raises some very interesting questions about how exactly Uzume/Kurome came to learn of Arfoire's human form in the first place and how she connected it to the Deity of Sin.
      Two possibilities presently stick out to me to explain the discrepancy while still being chronologically consistent with the established timeline:
      A) Somehow, at some point in the future, the Deity of Sin Arfoire we are dealing with here and now is sent back in time to the time period around Uzume's reign, who she directly fought. Such a confrontation may be part of how and why Uzume lost control of her power and why she was ultimately sealed away; using it might have been the only option Uzume had to ward off this version of Arfoire and the situation was dire enough that it was considered necessary to do so. The end result was the total defeat of the current Deity of Sin Arfoire in the past, but at the cost of Uzume no longer being able to consciously control the ability that allowed her to win against Arfoire. Following her effective self-erasure from history after her sealing, all mention of a second Deity of Sin ever existing at the same as the one native to the time period was also wiped from the historical record. The Deity of Sin native to Uzume's time period is subsequently fought by CPU Uranus, and the established timeline would likely just continue from there.
      B) The Deity of Sin could be less of a singular immortal being and more akin to a mantle that is adopted by certain people or entities when the mantle is vacated by the defeat of the one that came prior. Thus, whoever becomes the next Deity of Sin doesn't necessarily carry the same memories of the one who came prior, but may still share the same forms and abilities as their predecessors. This may be why the Deity of Sin Arfoire has no knowledge of having taken a human form until after _Re;Birth 2_ despite Uzume having knowledge of it. It's quite possible she saw an earlier incarnation of the Deity of Sin that already possessed and used the human form, and the one fought by Uranus and later by the current CPUs is the current incarnation, which had no clear knowledge or awareness of the form until after the events of _Re;Birth 2._ Arfoire might have thought she only recently obtained it when, in reality, it was something that had come with the mantle of the Deity of Sin all along. It's basically an All Might situation, but entirely automatic and a dimensional constant that never goes away; only temporarily fended off before a new "host" is identified.
      Either possibility would explain the discrepancy, but raises some rather inconvenient truths about the events of prior mainline games.
      If you accept the time travel explanation, then Uzume's sealing and the events of _Megadimension_ are the responsibility of whichever CPU ultimately sends Arfoire back in time, which we would probably see in the last mainline game we see Arfoire in.
      If you accept the dimensional constant explanation, then the Conquest Ending of _Re;Birth 2_ truly is the beginning of the end of Gamindustri, as the return of the Deity of Sin would have been inevitable, even with Gehaburn.
