Your creativity and talent are amazing.............all I saw was an empty box and a few art supplies................you saw another level of reality and you created it with "a few art supplies". I am in awe of your vision and ability.
Wow, you really took scratch art to an entirely new level! Absolutely love that beautiful moth, as well as all the little details that you included with the December box. We are also taking your feedback into consideration, and will do our best to ensure the quality of our boxes! Thank you so much for the review, and Happy Crafting to you 💜
Please do make prints of these artworks, I would so buy them. especially the carpe noctum one. Absolutely love how this box turned out. Made me think of a witch's keepsake box. :}
So creative of you to give everything, including the box itself, a life and purpose. And the pieces of art you made from the scratchboards are simply beautiful. You always take creativity to the next level!
This is just beautiful.I loved the moth and the moon.I remember years ago when I was a ticket writer and window dresser I made my own cardboard box with the fittings inside for my brushes to keep them safe and free from damage.I had it for many years .Still have the brushes though and those are many decades old now lol. It’s nice having a handy box for if you go away for the weekend ..🥰
Wow that takes me back to childhood. My sister and I spent many happy hours doing these pictures. (ours always had pre-printed images on the board, we just had to scratch). All the best.
Such a nice idea to use this box and you make it so beautiful) thanks for you video, I'm sick and feel bad, and your creativity makes me want to do something)
Oh my God! It's the second time that you made a moth looking so beautiful! 🤔 You should be proud of yourself! I hate moths! When I say it looks beautiful it surly does! 😋
Once again you hit it out of the park. Great travel art box for when you're traveling and a sudden need to sketch hits you. Of course the moth and moon are stunning.
WOW, Chantal, this might be my favorite thing you've made with Smart Art boxes so far! The artwork is stunning, and it was so satisfying to watch you make it.
This is awesome! I totally agree with you about the amount of lead pencils they put in, 3 packs in 9 months is wayyyyy to much. Genius creation with the box! Just love it! 😍
Carpe Noctem!!! My motto!!! I hope I spelt it right. I don't usually write Latin off the top of my head. Everything looks so pretty!!! Take care and have fun!!! 😷😎😷
I seen you had a question, but was literally going to bed. It was about NerdForge - I vote go for it. Ya got to make yourself happy too. I'm also sure it will be as kick ass this project. I really like that they sent silver rather gold, that was a big plus. I've never seen anyone make scratch stuff look so cool!!! 🎊🤯🎉
Very satisfying seeing you use the supplies and the packaging! I caught sight of this in the Patreon video and thought I must have missed something - the moth is stunning and so is the Carpe Noctem piece on the inside. They would both make absolutely gorgeous prints.
I Love that moth / moon / stars scratch board. I can't draw at all, but I can trace and learn to scratch. I think I'll look for some of these boards to play with.
Not sure where you live, but $1 Store has pre-printed ones to practice scratching!!! Hey! It's a really cheap way to get the hang of it. If you have to order the boards it can help fill the time.👍 😷😎😷
Hmm... I haven't considered using PVA and tissue for texture before but this seems like something I should consider using for one of my next D&D projects. The dried final result has an interesting look. And of course that's an amazing moth!!!!
I loooove the box and the artwork you created! The moth would indeed make a perfect print! The clay scratch board looks interesting to work with and I did not know white transfer paper existed, really handy. Do you know if the white can be erased if you use it on black paper? Or you need to draw/paint on top of it? I love what you have been doing with these boxes so far, thanks for sharing (: Have a great day! xx
Looks stunning, as usual. And now you have a place for all your graphite pencils! (kidding, kidding) I was wondering if there's a good way to protect your scratch artwork after finishing it. Would something like Mod Podge be sufficient to keep it from getting ruined by an accidental drop or clumsy brush against a rough surface?
@@RavensMinis that's what I was thinking. Maybe something like Mr super clear? Or you could just put it somewhere safe and /or be sure to be careful with it
This box turned out absolutely gorgeous. Really enjoyed watching you work with the scratch board. I remember when I was little we use to make scratch boards with crayons, but I'm pretty sure we never made anything so beautiful. haha Did you seal your boards with anything, so they don't accidentally get messed up when you're moving the box or getting items out of it? Thanks so much for sharing. I can't wait to see your collab. Sounds interesting.
For sure! If you follow my Etsy store, that's where they will be. I'll be posting some older prints to my Etsy store soon, the update with the newer prints including the moth will be later this year.
Hi! Just found your channel. I like your work! Would you happen to know what PVA glue is in Dutch? I heard you talking about it in a previous video. I can't find it and can't figure out what an equivalent would be. Thanks 😊
That would be knutsellijm. Je kan ook houtlijm van de gamma of praxis gebruiken, 50/50 mengen met water :) op bol.com kan je ook pva lijm vinden. Hoop dat dit helpt!

I love this. The fact you named the box "Carpe Noctem" (seize the night) makes it even more ... MORE, to me.
hehe thank you Asha

I love how you incorporate the box itself into the project, rather than just using the contents. This is beautiful!
Thanks so much! Trying to think..... outside of the box......

OMG this moth! 😍 Did you something to seal it to prevent more of the black coat scratching of?
Not yet. Thinking of spraying with a protective spray topcoat perhaps.

AWESOME !!! I LOVE scratch boards ;) Amazing what you came up with ;) What did it say at the top of the inside piece ? Thanks for sharing ;D
It says Carpe Noctum. A common Latin quote says Carpe diem, which means seize the day. And us darker souls prefer to seize the night...😉
