I love how infectious the scientist's enthusiasm is.
It's nice to have good positive news.
It actually blew my mind I was not expecting it to look like that in person
Like a fucking black circle? Why?
It's like the mountains, you don't get it until you are there in person, otherwise there is no point in putting it down.@@Maspets

Hello darkness my old friend....
I've come to sit with you again.....
In Texas it was cloudy and could not see a thing. Oh well
I guess I got lucky the clouds cleared right when it was full.
i saw it when i was at work
I wish I visited it and had the glasses
PLEASE DO!!! Please, next time the moon comes totality over any part of the earth, vacation over there... it is absolutely crazy to witness.
I live in Waxahachie, TX and was scheduled to deliver for Amazon today. It was overcast cloudy and I clocked in and was told that I'd be on standby, so I was cautiously hopeful. I waited and then got let out before noon. I gunned it home to my parents with a few breaks in the clouds and set up a bluetooth speaker playing Pink Floyd, had a neighborhood friend bike over to my backyard, and after "Eclipse" finished playing at 1:34 P.M. it was just 3 more minutes until the beginning of totality.
It was the most awesome thing I will ever see in my life. 4 minutes of true awe that I probably will never experience again, right over my backyard. I completely understand now why people fly around the world to experience it, it is TRULY AMAZING, and that is an understatement. 😅
The best part is the last 10 seconds looking through the glasses and seeing the light around you dim quickly until it looks like the sky before dawn or after dusk, and to see a black circle block a bright star that you can do absolutely nothing about is something I will never take for granted.
After the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 rolled through Waxahachie in 2021 and now 4 minute totality, I can say without a doubt that I have seen everything (except the northern lights, Starship launch, and the Milkyway Galaxy in person at a certified dark sky location) and can die now, and I wouldn't be upset.
It's like the mountains, unless you've seen it in person, you won't understand until you do, because pictures just DO NOT do it justice at all.
It was eerie feeling outside, it got hotter to me, my thoughts were wow, i did cry, APTTMH
I did get hotter😂
Northern California had zero visibility of the eclipse such a bummer
It was quite incredible to see in person.
Yeah right.
@@Maspets It's like the mountains, you don't get it until you are there in person, otherwise there is no point in putting it down.
@@Maspetssays the salty person that wasn’t in the line of totality and didn’t get to see it 😂
@@I-hate-youtube797 But I got to experience this supreme halfwitted sucker in totality, truly a sight to behold.
@@HTV-2_Hypersonic_Glide_Vehicle Wtf is so amazing about mountains?
It was amazing, there must be a God in Heaven. It was like a love message!❤❤
I clicked here to see the eclipse, not a bunch of giggling hosts taking up 99% of the time, with a banner across the bottom blocking parts of it. thumbs down
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Goofy asl😂😂 made me laugh
I loved it! I managed to take over 300 selfies making it the best day of my life!
Anybody see the star at the bottom right it looks like it has a ring or something around it at 2:20 on video
Could that be Jupiter??

Signs of The Most High for earth to repent"
What’s historic about it?
That so much of the Continental USA was in the path of totality. Usually it's mostly over the oceans or non-populated areas of the earth.
Because they don’t happen often the next one won’t be until 2045.
In Memphis we had a clear view at work. It was pretty cool. The birds got real quiet for about 20 mins. It left a strange vibe in the air for sure.
Why is it so historic?
because the US has not had total eclipse for years and wont for a long time and it is science. I mean you don't have to enjoy it but the rest of us do I mean not everyone is a downer.
There are two to five solar eclipses visible from somewhere on earth every year
It’s not at all historic if you’re not a child. The “news” is all advertising and PR for ad revenue at this point. Say “historic” and people will click kind of thing.
@@CelestialSky-om4teIdiotic nonsense 🙄.
@@mccod035 There are plenty of things that happen rarely, this isn't some important event just people looking for meaning where there's fucking nothing.

Not me, eclipses are nothing special it's just the moon blocking out the sun for 5mins.
Than you apparently haven't seen a TOTAL eclipse or you'd know that it's alot more than that.
Tell me, what happens on the ground around you during an eclipse?

God is going to prove to America and the world that the Bible is not just a book filled with fairytales...All God wants us to do is humble ourselves and repent, we're about to be judged as a nation and I believe the rapture could happen any moment now...

it's a solar maximum year!!! so that's why the summer is hotter.
Wht is historic about it ?
the fact that it went over a large chunk of populated north america, allowing millions of people to easily see it directly. basically 100% of america was able to see it in some form! normally, eclipses only pass directly above the ocean, so nobody ever gets to see totality.
Pretty much no one gave a 💩.
