A wonderful duet. Oh, Hollie you are definitely destined for musical theater, and movies, no doubt with such radiant beauty, and, dare I say it, the opera stage; and I hope it will come to be, we need some new celebrity opera stars.
I agree. These days everything is miked, I detest it. When I was college music student in the 1960, we never used microphones at our student recitals. It seemed unthinkable at that time. There is no need for Holly and the other singer to have microphones at a student performance, it is shameful. Hollie's voice is quite powerful enough, and at least she had the good sense to drop her microphone away when she sang forte for the final phrase of the piece, which she would not be able to do if the microphone was clipped to her hair, and also I think she held back her voice as not to overpower the baritone. I would like to hear her sing at that intensity throughout a whole piece as in an operatic aria, not just for the last phrase. That would be truly thrilling, as she was thrilling on the Britain's Got Talent first audition and she could do that again if she really wanted to. I encourage her to put in the time and effort and dedication on the great classics and see where it will take her. She has a lot going for her; great appeal, charm and beauty, and the ability to touch the heart of the listener. A rare and wonderful combination of gifts and talents that could make her a great performer. I hope to hear her sing more opera, and I hope Hollie will read this.
+Gregg Anderson Hi Gregg. Thank you for watching and commenting on my video. After reading Ben's comment I have to affirm that Hollie has never said that she wants to be an 'opera singer'. What she is aiming for is to perform in musical theatre, maybe in the West End or on Broadway. These singers always have wireless microphones discreetly attached somewhere around the head. Having said that, I have heard Hollie sing live many times and she has good control, being able to vary her vocal power to suit the song. Hollie sees all the videos I've made of her (she watches them first so she can approve them) but I don't think she reads the comments here. If she does I'm sure she would be pleased that you are showing an interest in her performance and her career. Thank you.
+niggleodeon if she wants to perform in musical theatre then it is clear that she's singing with a microphone. The point what i meant is that i think that she has such a powerful voice that she would be able to sing as an opera artist without a microphone because this is way more difficult than singing in a musical with a microphone. So maybe the opera would loose a good singer... :)
I understand if Hollie doesn't wan't train to an opera singer. How many talented singers want's. If you have a DNA big voice it's not that difficult. I would say it's much easier than making a solo career. The main problem is, singing that loud destroys her beautiful tone. Leave that profession to less talented singers.
Hollie has superstar written all over her. An absolutely angelic voice that will only improve with age. This is what happens when God given talent meets self discipline and a desire for excellence.
Very good performance, that lad has a very good baritone. I didn't like it that they looked too static and both looked at the sheet music of this well known love song. Guess they have not rehearsed enough the song together.

If she continous singing with a microphone she wont be able to become an opera artist

As Hollie grows older her voice gets stronger and richer. This duet was a really wonderful idea.
