    what about poison ivy..or nightshade? Those are green and growing..are they really okay for animals to eat?

    If it's green it's probably ok to eat? ... No

      Kathy Voth here - what I always say is that if it's green and growing it's very nutritious. There are some plants that have toxin levels that can cause problems for animals. So I always tell folks to check out my safe weed list, and if a weed isn't on it, they can contact me. Visit livestockforlandscapes.com for that info.
