I suggest a challenge: Either Dave or T90 plays against a real volunteering low elo player, but pretends they're low elo and does low elo stuff. Then, the other person casts the game, and tries to identify which one is the real low elo and which one is the impostor.

I hereby propose the concept of the „Viper point“. Its the point in a LEL game where one player is so far behind, that even TheViper couldn‘t turn the game around.

I just discovered this channel. I find it hilarious that experienced AoEII players would watch noob games for amusement. That's some real Colosseum shit.
I feel it's more like Major League Baseball players watching kids play baseball in the park, having a good laugh at the errors, but also appreciating where the kids are doing things right and noting where they could improve.

@VideoPunk late reply but in many instances i, and i'm sure many others also do, avoid learning the metagame. it almost feels like ive stolen the perfect method from another player and didn't even really earn anything if i win with it, because the method wasn't thought up by me

I started playing this game like a week ago. So far I've played a dozen or so AI games, watched a few tip videos and last 3 games I've been able to easily beat the hard AI. Watching this is actually giving me the courage to play against people lol.
I'm still pretty terrible myself. The AI just crushes me building a mass of units and micro doesn't seem to matter

Actually, I have to say, this is the most useful, longest lasting palisade wall I've ever seen. Usually the enemy just destroys it faster than you can build it.

This is still my favorite Low ELO Legends match to watch.
RANDOM new idea for series,just throwing it in:
Invite a pro player and a low elo legend
Low elo legend gets all the big base on biggest map,while pro have starting set up(3 vills,scout,TC) with a dock and 3 archery ranges on a neutral island
And let pro vs noob fight just like t90 fought vs his brother in that specific map

The holy pilgrimage of the ram
I like to think at 38:20 the people inside the ram got so anxious for action they needed a bathroom break
when i used to play in the pre-hd era, this was the actual style i was following. take my time, save in between, too protective of even one unit, then clean the enemy from the map. recently when i saw the de edition and related yt videos it was like a cultural shock for me. seeing viper, hera and other pro players playing, i even wonder how they control the units. but need to say, this is the only game i like and can't even think about any other. so much connected to it.
