Great video! Learnt a lot!
Alec Steele awesome to see you commenting here. Your channel brought me to Liams. is there any talk of a collab between you two? Perhaps both making a billet of Damascus and the other forging it?
Collaboration please!!!!
So funny. As I was watching him do the etching I was thinking I should suggest Alec watch this to see if he's tried multiple etches before.
Collaboration! Yes please!
you guys need to collab!
I watch a lot of Damascus steel videos and have no experience with metal working, but this is probably the most beautiful Damascus thing I've ever seen
I agree. It's the most beautiful tool of *any* kind I've ever seen. I'm in awe. Just looking at it rejuvenates me.
Lordy! What a beautiful piece! Well done young man! Can't imagine owning a pice of art like that!
What a journey. A truely impressive display of craftmanship bringing beuty to one of humankinds most basic and early tools. Thank you for taking the time to show us the creation of this artwork on UTube.
Man that is one of the most beautiful axes I've ever seen! Great job, I'm so happy I found your channel from Green Beatle.
This wonderful ax will be a joy today and a treasured masterpiece for future generations. I wonder where it will find a home and how many hands will stroke and admire it and wonder at the craftsmanship it took to create it.
Unbelievable Liam, pure craftsmanship at it's best.
That turned out awesome! Just frikin gorgeous!!!
That is a thing of beauty; a masterpiece. How could one ever bring oneself to use it, though?
Craig Mooring I would
Interesting question. I think the real travesty would be to never use it at all. And something so finely crafted would no doubt hold up quite well.
@@wisperingbeard You're right.
Holy cow man... Not only is that cool, but that's REALLY cool! This is just amazing, this project is going on my bucket list. Great work, man that's cool!
That's Functional Art right there. I'd say you knocked that one out of the Park Sir.
Who knew an axe could be so beautiful.
Well done on an outstanding job. This is by far the best axe I have ever seen!
That's a beautiful axe. I did not know that you could get such beautiful results with Damascus steel. Well done!
That is the most beautiful axe I've ever seen...
Stunning metalwork and woodwork, who wouldn't want to own that beauty!!
Metallurgy is a beautiful form of Art and so fascinating skill. No wonder it was considered magic.
This might be the most beautiful axe I've ever seen.
How much one of those would cost?
Absolutely gorgeous! That Koa really turned out to be outstanding, I'm glad you were able to grind passed the knot. I agree regarding the shorter, multiple etching cycles with cleaning inbetween and how this way really helps to bring out the chatoyance in the layers. I honestly really don't care too much for dull and blotchy Damascus myself. Anyway, you really exceeded in doing that billet from Kyle justice! Beautiful job as always and thanks for sharing 👍
epic, skilled makers are a joy to watch.
A masterpiece, without a doubt. You're extremely talented and skillful, Liam!
Oh my, all that is holy. That layered pattern is beautiful!
WOW!....... I am speechless, that is one of the most beautiful axes I have ever seen! You sir are an artist!

Stunning craftsmen ship. Getting ready to try my first damascus piece. I get alot of inspiration from your videos, keep up the good work.
Wow! That axe is a work of art!
Amazing work man! Just unbelievable how incredibly talented you are!
Absolute STUNNING piece that is for sure. I am a huge fan of axes and the bearded axe is my favorite shape. I hope to be able to forge many cool axes, hatchets, tomahawks one day soon. I was gifted a dozen 5 by 1 pieces of 4140 Chromoly steel and once I get something set up and learn some techniques I may try and use those for making some cool axes. Damascus is way down the line as in a couple years from now, especially something in a pattern like that. Got to love the looks of that Koa matched up with that gorgeous pattern. I definitely learned some things and give you and Kyle so many props for such a breathtaking piece.
Wow! Beautiful craftsmanship.
Woow that is a nice looking axe.

Nice work man thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
that turned out great! well done sir!
Amazing work. I don't understand how anybody could click on "Thumb down." Guess not everybody can appreciate an artist's work when they sees one. Wish I had an axe like that, but then again, I probably wouldn't use it so it doesn't get scratched ... :)
Beautiful axe I love the wood used for the handle.
t'is awesome! That instant coffee trick I did not know, great stuff!
That was a Master's Class, Incredible to see
Thanks,
Gorgeous.

Well said Kristy...I couldn't agree more.
No, it’s better
Good job bud. Looks amazing
Nice video series! One thing I would have liked to see was a before and after comparison of the axe head to really see the difference the instant coffee had made.
Peace!
great content. you are better than most blacksmiths and you tubers
Was that black spot in the wedge just a wooden cross wedge?
Absolutely beautiful
Wow wow wow. beautiful. If i made that i would never let it go, i'd probably lay next to it while i slept, with a slightly longer handle. got into smithing when i was younger but havent had time space or money to pick it back up...
very nice axe!great job
WoW, awesome axe.
