My mom has always told me that there is nothing I can't do, if I can think it I can do it...she is my greatest supporter and she pushes me to push myself. At 15 now i know i will make it big in life because she has taught me everything is possible. One day I will buy her the car of her dreams...Land River Evoque...Red...Girl Power...yay

Veerrry true!! We have grown to be very complacent and are hardly proactive. Definitely something I'm working on this year...
I just have to say though, I really love your segment. Never miss being among the first 20 to watch the latest uploads (all the way kutoka NZ btw) and every little clip inspires every aspect of my life in someway. I honestly wish they were 10min long at least, or like 4 a day if they're this short - might be because I'm a chronic-binge watcher, but it's nice to go onto youtube and watch something that adds to your life somehow....Awesome work Caroline Mutoko!!

I am 20 years old,and yes, having the notion that "You can't do" damages an individual...you grow believing that you can't do even when you can!!even when the ones around you, tell you that you can!!the power of the mind;incomprehensible
Yes, I attribute my regrets to fear of failure and fear of criticism, but no more!!!

This is interesting Caroline - we probably had different experiences because when I was growing up I think the general message was that there were some things I couldn't do/be because I was a girl. I remember quite a few fights with my mom as I tried to jostle for my space and rights as a female child, and refusing to live up to the stereotype of what a girl should be - I was quite the tomboy and I believe I did this to prove a point. I am now a mother of a teenage daughter and I like to believe I have given her every indication that she is capable of achieving ANYTHING she puts her mind to regardless of her gender - I have also tried to teach her that she shouldn't spend her energy trying to prove anything to the opposite sex because they really aren't the enemy and in my experience it serves no purpose than to derail you., It should be about realizing her dreams and not putting any limitations on herself - I would like to believe this is the message women of 'our age' are sending out to their daughters, nieces and young girls in general. Love your channel by the way, always looking forward to your videos and I hope you grow to reach a wider audience.

I love your thought and action provoking videos Caroline! I totally agree with you but I think we don't have to be 19, 20 or 21 to do or be anything we want. It's the best time to be alive - people are living longer and we can even retire much later running out of the box businesses that did not exist a few years ago. This means that it's never to late to start over and go on and do something great at whatever age!

That's so true when the older generation see that you are too successful....they start asking ''Wapi bwana na watoto " its so irritating.

I like your career encouraging takes but what you forget to mention is the negative side of aiming oneway to sit on top of the ceilings while leaving family on the side lane , i know a lot of C.E.O,s who worked diligently their way up in their twenties and are now reaching their 40,s with no family. It reaches a point that they get deeply sad because no one can replace a family with money or degree,s. This kind of women end up bitter and envious to the women with kid,s. I experienced that personally where some even broke their friendship because they felt that they miscalculated themselves along the journey. My mum was a career woman too but she taught me how to balance. Work-Balance-Life.

Caroline, you need to give a good yalking to people who ask 'why are you single' or shun and stigmatise single women who have no interest in or have given up on men. Sometimes women are single after leaving abusive + violent men, alcoholic or drug addicted men, promiscous men, widowed or because they affected by the suffering their mother went through. It is nobody's business why anyone is single or childless.

Asking "watoto wako?" is logical because reproduction is one of our primary purposes and women have reproductive expiry dates.

And this Ladies and Gentlemen, is a prime example of completely and utterly missing the entire point of this talk.
