- With Modern Horizons 3 dropping, I thought I'd take a quick look at what cards I reckon will make their way to Legacy from the new set. Let me know what you think of my list, what did I miss?

Nethergoyf and Disruptive Flute should be on this now I think about it
As a burn enjoyer, I'm excited for people to start dealing 3 to themselves on their second land drop
haha
Don't worry, that isn't enough to make Burn top tier 😖
19:23 brainsurge discussion. Probably my favorite card from MH3. Very excited to try this out as a two of in my control decks.
Hey thanks for this content! I really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work😊
Thanks for the kind words
Kozelek's comand seems good for an urza tron deck, which seems stronger though i am uncertain by how much things to the comander land that has all subtypes
Thank you for great video, all your content is super useful and enjoyable. Question: why didn't you include Nethergoyf in your list? I would say that it belongs there for sure :)
The fact it only checks your own Graveyard has me side-eyeing it a bit tbh. Stuff that relies on your own graveyard is kind of easy to hate on incidentally at the moment. I'm gonna give it a try though, it's probably better than that crappy phoenix who I did not like after playing with it.
Yet I guess the 1 cmc 4/5 that I can protect with daze isn’t good. This format would never have tempo decks in ub colours after all.
@@chaosky9 It's not always going to be a 4/5, and its certainly not as good as DRC and not as good as Delver either due to evasion. That being said, I definitely underrated the card on first pass and can imagine it fitting into Jundy style decks very nicely. Once Grief is banned, maybe it will get to shine in UB, but for now Reanimate and troll/grief is just the far better one drop in black.
It only requires self delirium for it being a 4/5 which is the exact same requirement of drc flipping, whilist it doesn’t fuel its own delirium it also grows while it’s off. It also has escape one of the most busted mechanics ever printed and is a very recursive threat
No tamiyo here?
I think control piles could play Planar Genesis, but probably just a 1 of
I missed something (sorry, I didn't watched the video all the way through) or did you totally skipped Nethergoyf? I think it is totally viable, maybe even good.
I'm sceptical about it as it only feeds on your own graveyard, so becomes kind of awkward against a lot of incidental hate in the format. I think it is better than some of the cards on my list having now played with some in early access though. I think most of the time Nethergoyf is worse than Stalactite Stalker but happy to be proved wrong
@@crucible_of_words you are totally right, now I feel bad for how much I paid for them, could have bought stalkers instead ☹️
@@maximuscesar Don't be, the more I think about it, the more I think I'm wrong lol. I've slept on it, and I reckon it's going to be a fine in Legacy and see reasonable amount of play actually. It's no DRC, but is good friends with it. Probably excellent for modern maybe? I dunno, that format is a mystery thesedays
@@crucible_of_words a Nethergoyf plus a frog have potential to closeout the game very fast if needed
@@maximuscesar The frog needs quite a bit of support in my very limited testing with it, not sure you want it fighting for GY resources with Nethergoyf.
Shifting woodland is so good
Let's get shifty
Should have been higher on the list. That card is going to do gross things beyond the obvious ones.
Oops is definitely not gonna play Trawler over Agadeems. but you'll likely add 3-4 Fell in addition to the 4 Agadeem's. Disciple of Freyalise will see play in Oops as a 2-3 of over Turntimber Symbiosis.
I ran the full 12 in monoblack during the early access and it was good
@@crucible_of_words ya but that’s early access where everyone is playing meme piles. That’s also mono Black not what most will play
@@NathanLipetz with the strength of the mono black cards, I could see oops becoming mono black in future, especially since Force of Vigor and summoners pact for breaker are looking like bad answers when your opponents will be jamming bauble often.
Will be interesting to see, I also like the goblin land over agadeems because it's better in a world where you have no GY, which is often how you get stopped. Gives you a little more ooopmh with the best down backup plan once your opponent has mulled aggressively, which is further powered up by the mono black version accelerating Grief into play alongside it.
I look forward to seeing what you and FaultedForm etc come up with
@@crucible_of_words I strongly disagree with all of what you are saying but gl. The mono black sb is too weak to hate.
Me and Faulted have already come up with lists to test. The main one being what I was was mentioning in the parent comment. I see no sense in changing much when we know what works best already. I don’t think Bauble is gonna be played as much as people are hyping it up to either.
Where is Tamiyo?
I think Tamiyo is rubbish tbh. It just doesn't do anything at all.
Timestamps!?
Sorry, had to kind of rush this one out as I also had to prep and record for an entire day during Early access. Got lazy on the timestamps front there :(
Sorry but Trenchpost is just unplayable. Great video though.
Trenchpost is an insult to the dozens of us Cloudpost players, such an useless land. It should be 3x the amount of locus to be remotely playable.

It MAY be a SB card vs Doomsday, but ya it seems pretty bad
I think it will surprise you
