  • In this video, my BTR Trinity Intake Manifold gets Installed On My 2008 Cammed Ls3 C6 Corvette.
    In my last video about this I got my BTR LS3 Intake Manifold for my corvette so here is the Unboxing and my First Impressions. I started to get a few questions about the manifold and how it fit on the car. So I just decided to go ahead and install the BTR Trinity Intake Manifold Installed On My Ls3 C6 Corvette.
    On my LS3 C6 corvette I've had a stock, stock ported, Holley sniper, and Holley sniper low profile intake manifold. The sniper low profile did better than both the stock and stock ported intake, the normal sniper didn't fit without cutting the cowl/hood so I sold it. I was still running out of intake manifold around 6800rpm on my current combo with the sniper low pro. I talked to BTR and they said this intake manifold will definitely pull better up top. So what did I do? I ordered the LS3 trinity intake manifold!
    I've already had the car on the dyno and at the track with the other intake manifolds, but I'll do a back-to-back comparison on the dyno when I swap from the sniper to the trinity. I plan on tossing the stock throttle body on for the first couple runs of the BTR manifold and then I'll toss the 102 on to show the gains of both.
    This manifold is boost and all motor friendly, it will like higher RPM, and the best part is it is made in the USA!
    Only the best from Brian Tooley Racing and the guys at BTR!

    I just ordered this intake and fuel rail kit for my 91 3rd gen camaro with an iron forged 370. The slight down slope of the intake is defintely what I'm needing. I've also got a motion raceworks icon 102 throttle body. Can't wait to get it on my setup

    LS3 manifold really can’t be beat unless you want to give up a little low end power for more high end power.

      @andrewd843  Před 10 měsíci +1

      100% I put the trinity on a 416 that revs to 8k the ls3 intake definitely didn't cut it on that combo the ls3 intake manifold on that motor was done by 6200. But I went 10.2@135 with a heads cam ls3 on the stock ported intake manifold. It's great for 95% of ls3 headed combinations.

      @Moore257 Před 10 měsíci

      LS3 manifold can’t handle boost in comparison as it’s plastic. Once you start port matching it’s even weaker. If your engine is stock and you don’t want to maximize the power then yes it can’t be beat

    • @andrewd843
      @andrewd843  Před 10 měsíci

      @MrPfcmoore plenty of plastic manifolds with boost are handling decent power. The issue with the ls3 is when companies remove the interior support and epoxy the manifold the epoxy plugs blow out. I've done both a ysi and ysi-b with the stock plastic manifold that's been ported and it never had an issue but we didn't cut the interior supports out.

    • @Moore257
      @Moore257 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@andrewd843 agreed plenty of combos with “decent” power but when you’re going for all out like I was referring to stock plastic can’t handle it. But if you compare all plastic ones stock wins all the time. But high revving and big boost plastic can’t handle it. Plus the holley new line up has the option for dual injectors and burst plates. Never seen a plastic intake with a burst plate except for when you run big boost and it makes its own burst plate 😂

    • @andrewd843
      @andrewd843  Před 10 měsíci

      @MrPfcmoore the stock ls3 sleeves will fail before the manifold does normally. If we're talking race car stuff like 1400+ yes, I wouldn't think about a plastic manifold on it. For 800-1100s on a street car, the ls3 intake will handle it just fine.

  • @larrylafrance

    How much power did you pick up with the BTR trinity intake vs the Ported LS3 intake? Any ET improvements?

    • @andrewd843
      @andrewd843  Před 2 lety +2

      Haven't done a back to back dyno test. But I picked up 4mph in the 1/4 in similar conditions. Trapped 131 with the stock intake in (+1000 da) trapped 135 with the trinity in a (+1100 da) but I was having transmission issues so my 60ft was slower and the 3rd pass the transmission broke on a 2-3 shift.
      Stock intake trapped 135 in a (-1800 da)
      Trinity trapped 135 in a (+1100 da)
      But the stock intake was falling off after 6000rpm. The trinity was pulling all the way to 7400 when I had it on the dyno.

    Andrew I always love watching your videos. I know you haven’t ran it personally, but do you think trinity or Holley high ram will net the best gains as far as real world. On your setup

    • @andrewd843
      @andrewd843  Před rokem

      The highram 100% would do better. But I'm willing to take a little less of a gain to not cut the part for an intake manifold. If this was a camaro or something else, I would have done the highram instead. Plus, when I got the btr manifold, the highram was almost impossible to find.

    the more i look at the manifold the more it looks like they might have sent you an LT1 (c7 corvette) intake manifold. that angle is the same angle as the lt1. Edit for being stupid cant be for lt1 as it slipped my mind even though i own 19 camaro ss lt1 is direct inject so thats a no go. It HAS to be for an ls1 or ls2 camaro with that down angle as that would be the perfect angle for elbow pipe to cold air intake location on a ls1/ls2 camaro.

    • @andrewd843
      @andrewd843  Před 2 lety

      All ls manifolds have the same throttle angle. A ls1 or 2 couldn't fit a ls3. Different head design. Btr didn't take into account of the ls throttle angles. They out the lt angle on all the ls trinity for some reason. But this has been on my car for awhile and works great. No possible way in the word to put a ls1/2 manifold on a ls3.
