I’ve had more fun playing Xdefiant the past couple days than I’ve had playing cod in YEARS. Even when I was grinding the hell out of mw2 a couple years ago it wasn’t fun at all it actually fried my brain with how they allow you to play the game now. Xdefiant is damn near camper proof and you don’t have kids laying down at every corner just waiting for you to run by.
If you hear what the devs are talking about Xdefiant. They are stuck with 1st parties submitting their copies into their platforms. MW3 is going to be ass. They literally are selling you the Chapter 2 dlc from MW2 '22 at a full price. Xdefiant is free to play. CoD is dead. Activision did what they set out to do. Kill their own games. Sledgehammer is going to fumble the game again for the 4th time because Activision wants to sell more bundles for Warzone 2.... I mean "Warzone" because they are forcing people who liked the original to play the new one because "it's better." For Activision's greedy hands.

As someone whos currently playing the game rn in 2024 june. The game is far more fun to play then cod. Less bugs, toxicity and overall a better experience
The thing about splitgate that makes it way different than xdefiant is that splitgate had been around since before modern warfare 2019 even came out. I played the earliest version in August of 2019 and even have the name title to prove it. People suddenly realized it was a good game and flocked to it years after it came out because of the bad state of CoD, similar to xDefiant, but we had a fairly dedicated community even before that.
Splitgate actually had a skill gap. People hate having to put in the time and grind to get cracked. So they turn to Cod that doesn't have any skill gap
Xdefiant betas were actually Betas where as people are still conned and think the CoD betas are stuff like "Alpha builds" or thats the exact state the games shipping in with a day 1 30+gb patch. If youve ever seen proper Alpha and Beta builds of games youll soon realise public Beta / pre order beta is marketting talk for Early Demo of the completed product.

MWII "broke the sales record" faster than BO2; riggt? I did the math and BO2 has to sell 2.3million more copies to make the same sales goal of 1 billion. Sure MWII got it faster, but it also was increased to a base peice of 70 dollars on top of having access to digital marketplaces.

The thing about splitgate that makes it way different than xdefiant is that splitgate had been around since before modern warfare 2019 even came out. I played the earliest version in August of 2019 and even have the name title to prove it. People suddenly realized it was a good game and flocked to it years after it came out because of the bad state of CoD, similar to xDefiant, but we had a fairly dedicated community even before that.

It all makes sense now after watching this, let me add to what you were saying please, CoD saw huge Competition in FPS and it seems like they only "try to make a decent game" when a competitor shows up! This could be the New way the Community keeps them in check bring something to the table better than theirs and they will show up better and faster, think about it all they want is $$$$$$$$.
