For Overdrive. You DONT get the effect of Overdrive when you chain Knuckle to it!!! Overdrive has an AND conjunction. So it must be able to destroy the targeted monster. Yes if the monster is indestructable, then the monster doesnt get destroyed. But it has to on the field in order to resolve Overdrive!
You are right that overdrive can't summon in this situation. Actually the reason it can't summon is because there is no monster any more so it cannot summon a monster with a different name. It's not an AND conjunction, its an "AND IF YOU DO" conjunction which is different: Causation: A is required for B, but NOT vice-versa. If A does not happen, then stop. If B cannot happen, you still do A. If it said AND you could not use Dingirsu to protect it and still summon.
@@Yishan Even if it did say AND you could protect it with Dingirsu and summon. In that case it would resolve the same way as Citadel targeting a monster that cannot be destroyed by card effect.
The reason for this doesn't actually have anything to do with conjunctions, but because it says you have to summon "a 'Machina' monster with a *different name* ". If the target leaves the field, overdrive cannot check if you are summoning a monster with a different name, regardless of whether that target was a machina or not. If it didn't state that you have to summon a monster with a different name, then overdrive would attempt to resolve as much as possible and summon a "Machina" from the deck for free since the destruction happens after summoning the monster.
@@Shadow4707 I didnt say it cannot resolve with dingirsu... Just if the monster is not on the field, than it doesnt resolve. And yeah my reason was wrong. And yes I knew the reason as I read the card. But when I was reading this comment I got confused and didnt double check.

But really important is that overdrive (and citadel) does not resolve when the target is not on the field (or flipped facedown). Both for the reason that at the time of resolve name (and atk stat) of the targets must be public, so the rest of the effect can happen.

you forget the draw 3 combo Kappa open overdrive and redeploiment, nice video, also there are combos to play around droll ar lancea like hard dra dozer and heavy foward to add drill and go from there
Open Redeployment, Overdrive, and non- Redeployment starter. Discard Overdrive, search Fortress and Metalcruncher. Perform standard combo using starter you opened with. Discard Metalcruncher to summon Fortress. Banish Overdrive to recycle Tunneller, Trencher, and Metalcruncher and draw card number 3.
Fore combo 4: Imagine you do all this effort do shuffle back "Ancient Gear Box" with "Infinitrack Tunneller" AND draw by your 2 cards again into "Ancient Gear Box" XD haha. If that happens i would quiet Tournement for this day ^^

I'm new to the deck so that is why I'm seeing this so late. but for the box combo, when you searched bullet, could you not have searched the fortress there to pitch itself and box to summon itself. that lets you save the knuckle effect for later in the turn after you've gone ballista. Is this a situation where you need more bodies in grave, you wanna get bullet in rotation, or something else i dont know about yet?

Though mine is going to strictly be using XYZs. XD That said, there's one thing I've been wondering about. Wouldn't Flying Pegasus be a good fit in your deck? I imagine you've already thought about it. Just curious to hear your take on it.
the deck can play through droll, ash and even nibiru, maybe the only handtrap that is lethal is gamma when they perform the normal summon. dimension shifter is also deadly.

on it's own it is only a resource loop that nets you additional cards. don't forget that was all off of 1 card so you still have an additional 4 in hand to make more plays with.

For your rank 9 combo, there's an argument to link off enterblathnir just in case your opponent crashes into it and summons Zeus in mp2.
