The light switches got me acting up
My only gripe about Big MT is that Doctor Borous made those god forsaken Cazadors.
Just take Boone with you. Cazadors never get within 5 ft of me with him around. Especially when you give him the gobi campaign sniper rifle you find at the sniper’s nest overlooking cottonwood cove.
And the nightstalkers! Though they’re usually more of a nuisance unless you run into about ten of them.
I've never had issues with them, first game play I got to New Vegas by going north, skirted around death claw junction, I did have to keep running since they ate so much ammo at lv 1. Hit their wings run, but the "and stay back" and other shotgun perks were great. But requires lv 10 of course

Everyone says fallout is goofy and that its stupid on purpose but it couldnt be further from the truth.
Old world blues is goofy on the surface, the moment you look undeath its deeply, deeply, disturbing and fantastically written.
Imo OWB encompassed the absolute insanity of the FO universe perfectly. Felt like the craziest wild wastelands encounter and I enjoyed every second of it.
I played this when I was 15 and thinking back it feels like such a fever dream😂

But I replayed it every time.

On my first play-through I only used items that could be found IN the DLC.
I would highly recommend it, really brakes you out of whatever groove you have fallen into.

This game is peak fallout. Compared to this, fallout 4 is just boring.
honestly, the DLC wasn't "laugh out loud" funny, but it's such a change of pace from the humor in the rest of the game that i kind of loved it. it's just silly and absurd, which is exactly what i think the dlc before lonesome road needs. you go from the big mt's penis jokes to ulysses' pseudo-philosophical ramblings.
I personally found this DLC to be fucking hilarious, but, that's just me, lol. I understand if you didn't, though, I would have loved to hear/see your reactions to some of the other batshit stuff xD

I entered this dlc way too early in my first playthrough, after I finished honest hearts. Needless to say there were a lot of saves, trial and error plus tears. That dlc was rough lol

I had an hour before work. Started up this dlc. After nearly 40min of dialogue I got fed up & shut it off god damn. I didn’t need 5min explanation when “don’t go near perimeter fence it’s BAD” woulda sufficed. I like good dialogue & story but ffs I was 40min in & it was still going…

50/50 on this and Lonesome being the best DLCs. Lonesome has a better, more serious story, but Old World Blues gives you so much more STUFF.

The characters are mostly voiced the Venture Bros voice actors. Incase you never heard of that show which is kinda like a fallout cartoon before the bombs dropped. Like seeing why there are still high tech villians and barbaric heros and stealth agents with super human like strength? Also npcs/followers like Dean and Hank... best crossover for fallout in my opinion
The break room is an accurate representation of Garry Busey chillin in his home.
I really enjoyed this DLC
I enjoyed the humor as a love letter to mystery science 3000 and Futurama.
Sure it's purile, But that can be fun and I'm glad I came into this DLC with the right attitude.
That said absolutely fuck the repetitive combat, I was so sick of the scorpions that by the time the gigantic one showed up I just console killed it.

My all time favorite DLC, probably not for everyone but if you are a fan of MST3K and things like the Rocky Horror Picture Show etc it will probably connect with you. I find the discussions Ulysses had with the Think Tank fascinating and the actions of Dr. Mobius heroic, and the sink is probably my favorite player home across any Fallout title. The toaster is amazing....but Muggy is 🔥🔥🔥

wow so i wasnt the only one. apparently vanilla new vegas any edition old world blues is just HORRIBLE. I played it first way back when on my ps3 and i almost could not specifically finish new vegas because of this. My game would just nuke itself so bad i had to restart every 30 minutes or so, Same on pc ig lol.
Honestly the scientists at The Think Tank remind me of Cave Johnson from Portal with all the bullshit stupid “experiments” they conduct.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who had silly problems with vats in new vegas lol back on ps3 days I literally couldn’t use it and went hundreds of hours without vats on Xbox s now so I’m abusing vats now it’s safe to say lol
