- In this vlog we are going to witness how a big birthday takes place in the village when you enter adulthood.
There is a ceremony that takes place infront of the guests before they all can feast.
After everybody has eaten. It is time for the part celebration In Navuti Fashion.
My favorite part is cutting the cake and korg session 😊. Can we appreciate the tavale that volunteered to feed Ura sis piece of the cake. Also, all of the families that came together and helped with making her 18th birthday extra special. Ura can you do a Q&A with your siblings before they leave for Denmark. Thank you again for the sharing a glimpse of your Fijian culture with all of us. Happy 18th birthday to your sister from Hawaii 🎉😊.
As for Samoa parents, I was still under my parents responsibilities in my 18 of age even I was 21 😂😂 but not till I get my parents blessings and I manage to be independent on my own two feet.

Vude literally means to float in Fijian. It now means dancing or dance music.
Why does that guy feed her the piece of cake? The MC said it was tradition but is there a meaning behind it?

In Fijian tradition only your cousin can do that like the children of your Mother's Brother whom we call in Fijian Tavale (cousin) can feed you the cake or make you drink a bowl of Kava and the baby powder is for any happy occasions celebration and you are lucky if somebody use baby powder on you sometimes some tavales (cousins) use flour 😂😂😂 and that's hard to get it Off especially if they put it on your hair 😂😂😂.
