  • Eduardo Nascimento was the winner of the portuguese song contest, and was the selected entry to the 1967 Eurovision Song Festival.He was the first black singer in Eurovision, but at the same time Portugal, a then fascist state, was fighting guerrilla colonial wrs in it's african colonies.

      Thanks for your comment. I wasn't born in 1967, my father explained the social-political context. But he did have a great voice and vocal range, he won the portuguese song contest and went to Eurovision. Eduardo had vocal and talent merit. Too bad he remained a guy carrying luggage at the airport.

      Also, it saddens me that this artist, who might be very apreciated, by people watching my video, was a poor guy, with a shitty job carrying luggage at the airport. Stuff shouldn't happen that way!

    Great voice. Great song. Later, after his singing career Eduardo Nascimento became a TAP Air Portugal Manager for may years.
