  • Did you know that rice cultivation emits as much greenhouse gas as the global aviation industry?
And rice could be one of the prime reasons you are sweating profusely this summer!
Today's guest on the Konversation Cafe Podcast S02 is none other than Devdut Dalal, the co-founder of Mitti Labs.
He went to Harvard to study for an MBA but decided to come back to India (like a true Swades moment) and build an agrotech startup with the intention of making and contributing to sustainable changes in climate.
He speaks at length about his MBA journey: how Harvard shaped him, how he got in, and the valuable insights he picked up during his time there. These insights prompted him to not follow his father's business but to build something of his own. He explains the thought process and clarity behind each of his pivotal decisions, which we can all learn from.

Great initiative Devdut. Adding to what you're working on. It would be great if we figure out cheaper options for leftover straw management instead of massive burning especially in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Up, Haryana. Although people have started bailing but it is not very feasible for all the farmers.
