You just can’t avoid Howie B’s grooves. Having spent the last four decades producing some of the best-known bands in the world, including U2 and Bjork, the Scottish producer has also DJ'd across the world and created original music for brands including Hugo Boss, Range Rover, and Maserati.
About Howie B Drops Some Trip Hop
For his first-ever Loopcloud pack, ‘Howie B Drops Some Trip Hop’, the legendary producer and curator revisits his vital role in developing the sound of hugely influential artists such as Massive Attack and Goldie. Rooted in the spirit of nineties Soundsystem culture, but always sounding futuristic and forward-thinking, ‘Howie B Drops Some Trip Hop’ invites you to take the lead from its upfront title and infuse your project with Howie’s distinctive sonics.
Produced in collaboration with renowned bass player Tristan Bres and versatile drummer Toma Milteau, ‘Howie B Drops Some Trip Hop’ stays true to Howie’s warm, experimental production style, with several loose and easy live jams then reworked through in the studio with additional treated keyboards and sonic experimentation. The resulting pack is layered with different flavours, from moody electronic bass to upbeat keys, mixing brass, wooden percussion, shakers and triangle.

Who's got the bacon? Love this guy!
These guys are straight up groovin'. That's the funky style I jam to.
Still using a 3K Howie my man!
What a great project !
if only splice would have a vsti version of their loops. i purchased 8000 loops from them. although i guess they're on my hard drive , now, but to preview and audition, loopcloud has the upper hand, i haven't used it in a couple years, i wonder if it has the upper hand over splice. i mean, splice has freaking dj kawasaki and kshmr. of course, at a mere ten or fifteen bucks a month, it's easy to have BOTH. yeah, baby!
Any Howie B. records I have I play at 45 RPM breakbeat speed. No disrespect to the originals.
