I’m now 56yrs old. I have anorexia. So funny because I too have put on 30 pounds. I no longer beat myself up. Now my weight is my badge of honour and finally good health. Thank you for your video. ❤️
I feel for you so much. My mom is 64 and has had untreated anorexia for 50 years. It really impaired her ability to raise 4 girls to love themselves and have a healthy body image when she herself cannot. I hope you are learning to love yourself ❤
I feel you on the lifetime battle. So glad you're not beating yourself over weight gain. ❤ love yourself always!❤
Though it may have been difficult to fully embrace the concept, that 30lb gain is such an amazing step, such an accomplishment, in so many ways - physically, mentally, for your health and emotional wellbeing, that lil bit of weight is SPECIAL! I’m guessing you look absolutely wonderful rn too!
Keep up the good work - sending love ❤️
I needed to hear that it's temporary and I'm in control of how I look. Thanks much my girl!
I loved the main points about weight you made in this vid, it is all temporary and no one should feel ashamed of their body weight❤
If you’re overweight, you should feel ashamed enough to get healthy. There’s nothing cool or empowering about being fat lol.
It’s true it’s temporary and it will fluctuate through life. Just don’t let it get to out of control for health reasons mostly! You look amazing still to me!
Girl I got out of the Navy in 2016 (14yrs active duty) I have struggled with trying to motivate to lose the weight I gained once I got out. This video is so relatable!! And you look phenomenal!!!
I hope you have a good day, know that JESUS died for you and loves you so very much!
I left the navy in 2013 it’s a struggle bus over here 😩 a very relatable video for sure!!
It seems like such a major life transition that I bet a lot of people gain weight. I see that in my wellness practice a lot where people go through a major life transition and then gain weight. I think the biggest challenge I see is that people think that losing weight is about eating less and moving more. It is not. There is so much more to it than that. Whether that is hormones, thyroid issues, gut microbiome issues, stress, anxiety, or just listening to crazy stuff on the internet people get stuck. As I read through the comments I just wish that people approached it with more compassion and understanding for how hard it is and that we should love our bodies for what they can do, not for what they are not.
There are organizations for veterans that help with gym memberships or have their own facilities that’ll help you get into shape. I just joined the Grey Team here in FL, but I’ll look up the other organization(s) I know of and post them for you.
This is so encouraging to hear. I am 7 weeks post partum with my second child. I made sure to make a better plan for my wardrobe to fit my changing body and not force myself to fit into pre pregnancy clothes. The clothes need to fit me, not me fitting for the clothes. 💕
Oh girl. You're in the thick of it. I hope that you are giving yourself grace.
Staying in shape during postpartum for me was significantly harder than during pregnancy. Gained nothing more than l needed to during pregnancy, once the baby was out the stress, the hormonal rollercoaster and sleep deprivation made me insatiably hungry. My baby is almost one and my weight is back to my normal, once they start moving around and keeping them alive is a routine it gets much easier.
You just made a human being! You are amazing! ♥ Be kind to yourself. What helped me was imagining I was saying my negative self talk to my friend. If I would never say it to them, why do I say it to myself?
You're gorgeous in any size. I love how you're so open about your life changes and even detailing real numbers for weight fluctuations.
Girlll look at you!!! Thick thick! You have such a nice shape and by you being tall you hold the weight pretty well 💜 I’m 5’7 and when I was around 200 it didn’t look bad. Now I’m overrrr 200 and trying to lose some weight because I’ve gained more than I wanted. But it is what it is. We love our bodies no matter what!! You look good 💜🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’m glad you have that mindset 👏🏾
That’s the thing weight on taller girls look way better than us short girls.
I’m struggling hard to lose weight :(
Your shape is similar to mine, and I use to be super fit and then gained weight during the pandemic and it’s been hard to lose it since 😢 you’re right. It’s all temporary. Appreciate your positivity ❤
I WISH I had that shape naturally... but God knew better than to give me that shape naturally. I'd have been a hoe, fr. It's such a lovely shape... curves in all the right places.
Omg her inner light is so bright. You can’t help but to love her. What a charming beautiful woman.
What a beautiful mind set about fluctuation. You’re spot on.
You have no clue how much owning your weight means to me. Thank you!!! You are a beautiful person inside and out! Finally a person who's real on youtube!
The second pair YOU HAVE TO GET in your size!!! I’m obsessed 😍 so flattering on you
You look fucking amazing and so snatched 🔥🔥 i’m jelly but I needed that pep talk at the end. Thank you 😘
You are so positive and such an awesome woman and content creator. I am so glad people like you are on here! You should be proud to be the person you are and how you influence others. Love your videos!
What a beautiful mindset. Thank you for being so open and so honest! Made me feel better!
girl i love how causually you talked about ur weight gain, we need more people like u
The 5 button w/ no belt loops are so flattering look amazing on you 💜
Enjoy that transition out of the Army! Team No PT! Those jeans look good on you, Ash. And you’re right, it’s all temporary. Weight is gonna fluctuate like crazy. Great video!
2nd to last look the most flattering to me ! They really make your shape look nice ! Best quality looking of the bunch as well.
Yea I like those too but she says they’re too stiff for her- I feel like the stiffness she’s feeling is it being real cotton jeans instead of polyester. I like real jeans now that I’m in my late 20s because the stretchy thinner ones show a lot of tummy and 🐫 toe
Last pair were my fave. You look great! Sending love from Kansas ❤
You are BEAUTIFUL. I NEVER comment on CZcams (it’s just not my thing) but oh my gosh I HAD to say something on the off chance you see this. You’re so beautiful and I’m so happy you know it! I wish you all the best ❤
I need people like her in my life. She's a fuckin vibe 🙌🏼💕
I feel your pain. IMMEDIATELY when marching band was over my senior year, i was gaining weight. I had gained 15 pounds. And now im waaaay bigger than that. Its crazy how it happens right when you begin to be inactive.
is that really crazy? Seems pretty obvious that, that is what would happen 🤷🏻♀️
@@belladolce85 yeah it is. You'd think it wouldn't just pile on so quickly just from stopping exercise. I mean, shouldn't what you eat also be a factor? Cuz I ate pretty healthy.
@@juliajaeger8175 if you're eating the same without reducing it, healthy calories are still calories, so you have to reduce the intake commensurate with the reduction in activity.
If you don't keep moving after getting out, you will get fat. Do you see what happens to athletes when they stop playing? As a 13 yr vet myself my weight hovered at 118-128. Depression and 46 lbs later I'm walking around about 174. Had to kill that noise because what sciatica don't need is more weight and pressure. I lost that weight and maintain a nice 140. I'm 5"6 and a dude though. I know its different for men and women but the discipline is still the same. Good luck Sis. Don't let these Lizzo types fool you into thinking it's okay to be morbidly obese. I mean it is, but it aint. You feel me.
Lizzo is losing weight now and a lot of the “body positive” influencers are because that trend faded real fast . Not a h8tr but it’s about being healthy and weighing 250 to 500 lbs is not healthy on anyone for long . The body starts stuffing and then the silent killers like NAFLD and HBP , insulin resistance have done so much damage .
Maybe she’s just enjoying herself for now. Keep in mind that women gain weight so easily when they’re not on top of it. For instance, I went on a trip and was eating without tracking for 2 to 3 weeks and I’m up 8 or 9 pounds in a short amount of time and I’m just coming off my period. 🤦🏻♀️ But I can understand wanting to indulge after being strict for so many years. However, I also agree that you can’t let it get out of control because it can quickly get out of control then you’re approaching obesity and you’re like how did this happen. 😬 I’ve been there. 😅 She used to do weight loss videos, which is how I found her a few years ago. Maybe she’s planning on doing diet and fitness videos in the near future.
@@raleemay we only gain weight easy if we are eating in a caloric surplus and coming from an obese person its not fun being fat all these fat positive people are fake they arent happy the way they are and thats just fact they can pretend tho ive also lost 30kgs from my heaviest weight have a long way to go but ive never felt better
The message of self love is apparent here. Thank you so much 🙏 for speaking your truth out loud so it can become ours ❤
Hollister curvy jeans are THEEE MOVEEE!!!!!!!!!
Girrrrrlllll you are GLOWING!!!! Your happiness is so apparent & I LOVE IT!! 🥰 ❤
I LOVE IT I LOVE YOU! I love your mindset, and it’s so lovely to see you sharing. Weight is gonna change, we are absolutely in control, and that isn’t a negative thing, and isn’t a reason to be negative to yourself.
Our bodies are everything we do and everyplace we go. We are so lucky it deals with everything we put it through. And sometimes… doing things that make you feel good mentally, is what you need right now. Physical fitness isn’t always gonna be the most important thing. And that’s healthy and normal. You the best. ♥️
Videos like this are so encouraging. I gained 30 pounds myself and I finally worked up the courage to buy two pairs of pants that would fit me at this size. Still waiting on my package to arrive, but looking forward to ignoring the size and appreciating the comfort!
I used to be heavy, especially for being 5'1, and I was never comfortable with it, but I never took control of it either. Unfortunately, medications I was put on ( not for weight loss ) caused a side effect of weight loss due to loss of apetite from them. The weight flew off, and let me tell you, the body dysmorphia is real. Taking control yourself when you are ready is the best thing you could do mentally and physically. I loved hearing your message it made me feel better about my situation, I can take control about how I view myself because this is the new me.... for now 😊.
I need to gain about 20-30 pounds myself 😂😂
You’re beautiful no matter what size you are ❤
And this is why I love you!!! Your just straight up and make me feel better about my weight. You DO NOT look bad at all!!!!! I love it!!❤
I love the perspective that we are still in control no matter what weight we are at❤❤
For the first time in my adult life I am 130lbs.
I was 450+lbs 10 years ago.
My whole life I was overweight.
Lost it right before my first pregnancy.
Gained half of it and then some back with my second pregnancy.
Lost it all again 4 years later...and I feel like I'm in crisis.
I don't know her!
Who is she?!
My body is foreign to me right now.. I don't know how to dress it or how to love it or even look at it.
My goal is to love me at 130lbs like I taught myself to love me at 400+lbs..
Thank you for your transparency, always, and your eye opening videos.
It IS temporary.❤
Thank you for sharing yourself with us all 💗 this is literally what I went through the other day 🤦🏽♀️
girl u look amazing! and so happy and damn if u gained weight u did it in all the right places!! love me some fashion nova
Beautiful message, thank you Ashley 🦋
Girl you look fabulous no matter what size you are ❤
People’s bodies are so cool. I love how people are all differently shaped and I am just mesmerised by all the various ways that bodies can be
I freaking love this girl. Funny as hell and real as hell. She is my kind of people.
Love your mindset, im currently working through restrictive eating tendencies and I really broke down when discussing with my dietitian that I need to eat more to have more energy but I know thats going to result in some *temporary* weight gain. I was doing really well eating more months ago but I gained the tiniest bit of weight and freaked out, started restricting again. Its amazing how much weight gain can fuck with your head.
The second pair is so cute and flattering!!
I just love your voice, you know you look good but your voice gets my attention from across the room everytime
I just love her overall attitude and demeanor ❤
Jeans look good on you period. You got to show off the curves not hide them in sweats. I really liked how you said we are in control of our weight and weight gain is just temporary. What an awesome mindset to have. I’m happy she’s happy 😉
Honestly, loved you in all but the straight leg were my fave! Appreciate, the words of encouragement because I lost my daughter my only child 3 years ago went through all three stages of menopause early because of trauma, quit smoking after 10 years to get healthy to raise her son my only grand baby and lemme tell you I went to bed thin and woke up fat! Finally, my hormones are regulating and the weight is coming off slow but healthy 🎉 So yes, you are so right weight is controllable either way you are STUNNING 😍 ❤
i love this so much
its not about not fitting in old jeans but just happily buying new ones and not even making it a big deal
i wish young girls watched more content like this
❤❤❤
Ash, I just gotta say…you are GLOWING!!! Look at you! Stunning 🤩 Long hair, short hair, thin, thick, YOU SLAYYYYYY ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The ones with no pockets in the back ❤ I needed to hear this today, thank you!

You look great in those jeans and I love the ending part of the video! Proud of you Momma!❤
I love the ones with no back pockets and the last pair. So good!
You explained this very well. Like in real people terms. In a way that makes more sense than I might have ever heard. Thanks & yes, I’d love more videos like this.
you have such a healthy mindset...this is so refreshing
the ones with the v and a little belly button were def my fav. so cute!
You look beautiful! So happy to hear you're enjoying life after having to be strict for so long
Not me tearing up at the end. Thats a great way to put it💙
This video made me feel a lot better about myself. Thank you 🥰
You still look great!! I loved all the jeans on you.
You look great. As long as you love yourself, when you ready for a change you will do it. Loving the new look ❤
3:23 omg so true, you made me have a different look at it, and I want to thank you for that ❤
I LOVE this message. Definitely do more of these ♡
Yes yes yes more videos like this. I too have gained 30-40 pounds and I stopped posting videos and photos. I too know it’s temporary but I have been having trouble loving my new temporary self. This video gave me the courage to wanna get back out there. Thank you. You are amazing and fabulous
Don't feel bad. Extreme stress can cause weight gain and many other things. I know last year was probably the most stressful year of my life and I did gain 40 pounds. I am slowly trying to get it back off. You do what works for you. Everyone has rough patches.
Girl… your eyes are so beautiful.
You look beautiful im 210 pounds 5'5 at 23 lol im trying to lose it your right weight comes and goes its important to love yourself at all stages ❤ thank you for loving yourself through changes
I love how positive you are you still look beautiful girl ❤
You are beautiful inside and out ! I’m glad I found your channel you are so real😍 I would love more videos like this
This was a therapy session I needed. I loved this!
2nd to last pair is sooooo cute!! The size 13 “stiff” pair. With the ripped knee and medium wash. And the light wash no belt loop no back pockets with all the buttons were cute too!
I love your honesty - I think you look great
The blinking after you said 200 lbs 😅💀I felt that! you look amazing in all. ❤
I needed to hear this today 🎉sound off queen , you’re stunning
As long as you feel good that’s priority ! Weight comes and goes but feeling good and being free is amazing
Flares or the straight/mom style jeans suit you SO WELL, girl!!! They look so great on you. I mean, the skinnies look good on you too, but the other ones just had your figure figuring!!! Anyhoozie, you look AMAZING!!
Dang girl!! You absolutely phenomenal! Like this video was a flex fr
I am not ashamed to admit that I have gained a lot of weight, lost a lot of weight, and the gained it back. I love that Ash is so open and real with us about her life. Yes, there are things that she isn’t going to share because she simply just doesn’t have to. But she is so inspirational to me, and also girllll... (this part isn’t supposed to sound weird 😂) you butt looked amazing in those jeans! ❤
I love those styles of jeans!! I know where I'm going for jeans now ❤❤ i love at the end of the video on the weight gain ❤❤ more videos like this please!
The last pair! But you’re so tall that you carry the weight so nicely! You actually have a nice waist line! Lucky.
My goodness you look amazing! 😍😍 extra pounds look great on you. This reminded me of your older try on videos when you tried clothes on after getting thick. glad to hear you’re doing well!!
So cute !!!! Love the second pair sooooooooooooo much on you! These ones were just different and they made you just glow. ❤hugs from Alaska girly.
Tschandra
They look amazing !
I think it is great that you have a transition plan...more soldiers need to see that...we all eventually transition out of the service one way or another...Congrats on a successful military career!
I needed to hear this. And yes plz more content like this. I've always been told it's how u feel and what you see in yourself. Not the scale.
200lbs neverrrr looked SO GOOD. You look great mama ❤
Loved this video❤ such great positive vibes
They look so good on you !
Those jeans are awesome! Omg I wouldn't think they would be buying them offline ! I love them all ❤
currently on a weight loss journey and needed to hear what you said towards the end ❤️💪
We have the same body shape- tiny waist, beautiful buns and a gigantic smile!! Keep on rocking life lady!!! Thank you for your service, your comedy and just being real!!❤
I struggle so much with my body image, but you’re around the same size as me and you look amazing!! You saying your weight made me feel soooo valid in my own body 😭❤️
Second to last pair actually look so good!
The stiffer fabric looks really nice, the rest are more of a jegging look. If they are uncomfortable size up more and you might love them! Numbers don’t matter, once I started buying larger sizes I gained confidence ☺️
Thanks for the new jeans try on haul. I liked 'em all, but my favorite jeans are the 5th pair with 5,000 buttons. I love how they have no pockets on the back 👖❤️
❤❤❤❤🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 love all the jeans FYI!
I’m 37 and I gained 30 pounds when covid started, but you are exactly right with all your points for gaining/losing/fluctuating ❤
Girl that body is bodying!!!! Your weight is in all the best places ❤
my favorite jeans rn are the wow flare from oldnavy!!!!!! the stretch is SO perfect and they have cute colors, i'm 5'3 and 225 lb but these jeans are absolutely comfy!!
I love your mindset on weight because my weight is fluctuating so much right now too 🫠 and I’m over it. And the darker wash jeans look sooo good on youuu
The flares look so good!!!
Yesss we are constantly changing as human mentally and physically. We are true shape shifters. You can be a completely different person than you were 10 years ago and that ain't a bad thing! I've adopted the new mindset of. I can feel the need to improve myself and still love myself and not hate myself
I have to be completely honest you look amazing in all of the jeans. You have a very flattering shape and a beautiful bright personality to go with it and you look bomb!!
💯💯💯
Yess she does. I look like a damn ompa lompa when I put on jeans. Ughhh
She Carrie’s the weight well.
@@Ladybugseasonikr I would never guess she’s 200 lbs. when I was 200 pregnant with my first so I was a whale
@@kay-kw5io shhhiiii at one time I blew up to 220 lbs and I looked disgusting 🤢
