man, watching this video brings back memories. Ingress was a milestone back then. A mysterious app, invite only, lots of secrets around it. It was incredible.
Ironically just as obscure nowadays though a lot less mysterious.
The best part about it is the community; together, both factions do gatherings, hang out with each other, go to parties, but it will all change when we get to the field. Watching portals changed hands multiple times, in real time, all in the span of mere minutes, is exhilarating. And that’s not even talking about the group chat snooping lol

Such a powerful trailer, I was so hyped back then. When I was telling my friends about it, they were all speechless and asking "Wait is it true?", like seriously!

I heard of Ingress from 9gag.. got my attention right away... these guys made sci-fi movies become reality. Great job! Now im waiting for my invite to this incredible world, and it just cant arrive soon enough. And to everybody out there... I will finally have a reason to go outside.
I can't believe this... You may not believe it. I'm an actor that left a comment 9 years ago about how I love this game. I'm an actor. And today doing a small indie film in art this house. Not knowing this ahead of time but I'm in the house of one of the creators of the game, Mark Dochtermann!
We talked for about 40 minutes about the game! It was so fantastic! And truly a small world thing. He's a pretty cool guy. And his son, director of photography, is well.
Being in the game after its first year, I'm going to wipe the dust off and play again!
I recommend this game 100 percent. A great and fun game to play. I have met lots of new friends during the COVID time.

I've looked into it a bit and I understand it better. The only way to get an idea of what the game actually is, is to watch gameplay videos though. :P

Pokemon Go has so much potential. It could Be one of the best games ever, If Niantic would listen to the fans.
As someone who is watching all their friends play Pokemon GO before its official release, it is very frustrating to be left out for waiting until it's available on the app store in Canada. I feel there needs to be some benefit to those of us who wait until the official release.

It is quite easy actually, you run around collecting exotic matter. Once you found a Portal you can Hack and make it yours. After you have 3 you can link them to claim the connected Area as your sides Territory. In the end its about widening your Area and defending your Portals from the other side.
What if you make this a QR code and leave it somewhere for someone to find lol

I just started playing today, but it looks really fun.

Okay. They can use ingress to add a new EPIC game mode to paintball/airsoft. They can make it to where 1 person, the leader, for each team is given an device with ingress only before the game starts. The objective could be to navigate your way to the objective portal, which is somewhere in the paintball field, and capture it then hold it for a set time or just capture it. Except paintball/airsoft weapons are still being used to get people out just like regular paintball/airsoft. You must defend your leader at all cost because if he gets hit then your team loses. There can also be different variables of it. Like the leader can be revived if he gets hit, or there are multiple teams of who are given ingress(on a device of course) and must split up into teams and capture multiple objectives that lock up when captured or must be defended from other teams. Or have two teams that must split up into squads to capture multiple objective. Obviously it is all monitored so no one can lie about who did and didn't capture a portal. They would also have to make the portal easy to capture but you have to be EXTREMELY close to it. Stuff like this. So much more can be done with ingress

I was brought here because of a system of control brought on by experience to tell my story but manager of exposure won't allow me.

The N'Zeer have won. They have taken over most of the population with Pokemon Go. Converting portals into PokeStops. Creating micro anomalies in the form of rare Pokemon appearances to amass a mob of cash paying human zombies. What happened to Niantic? They were the masterminds all along.

Joined the Resistance! I completed all the missions, and re-did it...helped a lot in getting an idea of the game. There are no portals in my area, so I've submitted a few for approvals.
Once you are truly enlightened you will know that the Resistance is the side to be on.

also the gym mechanic came from ingress so basically Pokemon go is reskin of ingress your gyms in Pokemon go are the portals and the Pokemon are resonators to make the gym stronger so basically they reused the portal mech and recoded it for gyms.

you do realize instead of sitting around to play a game this gets you out and moving as well as lets you see the area around you...its just geocaching with a storyline and competition really...great idea though i havent been able to play yet
