This video belongs to early 2002. It was the good old days for democraticly promising Turkey heavily invested and willing to pay the dues for a functioning democracy. After all that valuable experience and really going deep into constitutional, secular system, no religion favored over the others and working perfectly fine with free median with separation of powers with more less functioning independent judicial power. As Mr Lewis mentioned in one of his videos in islamic tradition there is no room for democracy. He often mentions Turkey as the only country that had held democratic elections and power changed hands peacefully 10-12 times . But no more. Elections are held just to be able to say `we have democratic elections` pretty much democracy ends there. Parliement only exist for the show during the most important times is closed non functional. There is no opposition party slowly dissipated cause most of them had to change sides give in to better opportunities in the administration . There is no such thing as free media. Most everything is censored. The memory of the country is erased even on the internet news. A new history is written in a nauseatingly nationalistic sound of marching. Economy and finances changing hands to a heavily indoctrinated new so called islamic elit class who are getting all the juice for simply becoming boot lickers..Judicial system topsy turvy, discriminatory turning the society into a chauevenistic macho society. Civil law is changing into a newly formed religious system. Child brides are visibly forced into a norm by the newly formed judicial system. This administration gives a sweet smile to western countries and they themselves do not give a rats you know what as long as 14 million no skill refugees are held in Turkey not passing into European Union. If any one of them has been able to pass the border they better be ones of the better educated ones. On the other hand Turkey`s better educated valuable job force are leaving seeking voluntary exile for a normalized life in western countries . All this happened in the fashion of slowly heating frog the water in the pot over the last 21 years to the boiling state. One by one establishments, instituions universities brought to their knees and slowly or forcefully accepting the change. And all this because USSR was invalidated as a power to reckon with and one enemy had to be created over night. Father Bush and Son Bush were volunteered to get their hands dirty. Around 2002 there was ongoing talk of `clash of civilizations` in the universities in the media one can tell that world was pregnant and we were left with a newly born baby in our hands named Radical Islam. Child is yours. Now it is growing and father wants to run away and become invisible and leave the child to its mother to tend. Both parents need to take responsibilty otherwise child will easily grow to be a problem that society has to pay for.

You taught your students wrong information. Students shouldn't get knowledge from a politician professer.
