    Covering the head has to do with protecting her identity as a victim as not because she has done anything wrong. It's a law in Indian system that identity of victims in sensitive cases specially women not to be made public.

    • @YuvrajHaldankar
      @YuvrajHaldankar Před rokem +6

      Exactly. Those who know her will know (like tgat classroom scene in the film), but it's done so that her face doesn't become common knowledge in every Indian household. So she can later walk in a new place in public without people seeing her and saying, "That's that girl"

      The main reason is to protect the identity of minor!

      @@YuvrajHaldankaryeah, thats the victimization of the girl by the society and that is so unfair to her.
      When we see her we will say "thats the girl who was raped", instead of "Thats the brave girl who stood her ground." 😔😔

      @YuvrajHaldankar Před rokem +1

      @kaushiksarkar6761 it is unfair, but I think we all know that it will take a long time for that to change. So it's best to work around it

    The reaction to the son disappearing is actually something that is common & it is an expected reaction from an Indian parent.

    Manoj is such an underrated actor from the 90's! Check his amazing thriller movie from that era called Kaun also starring Urmila Matondkar! Was terrified after watching the end! It's so less known to people!

    She was covering the head because she was protecting her identity as a victim of Rape not because she has done anything wrong. As per the law in child abuse (POCSO) cases their identity is not revealed for the obvious reason.

    I thought the direction and screenplay was off it felt like one scene after the other was stitched sequentially rather than looking like a film...those scenes would work better as standalone scene snippet videos on CZcams and I also felt the pacing lagged in places and the director used slow motion shots and loud BGM way too often to try an commercialize an OTT film which was not required in my opinion, there was none of that in Pink
    I did not hate the movie though I like it kinda because the standalone court sequences were very very well written and the dialogues or legal arguments presented by the lawyer was absolutely superb and you have to mention the last monologue isn't it they way it draws comparison to Ramayana and that brings me to the most brilliant aspect of the film for me Mr. Manoj Bajpayee after Gulmohar delivering yet another banger what an absolute peach of a performance especially if people are learning how to perform monologues, which lines to stress on when to shout how to shout properly without being overdramatic and they way he played the lawyer in general was pitch perfect and gutted that you guys are non-Hindi speakers because the pure Hindi used in this film is very good to listen to. The rest of the cast was good as well and the looks of all the lawyers matched the real life characters (if you know you know) and especially the girl who was playing the victim forgive me for not knowing your name you were also very impressive.

    What I loved about Manoj’s performance is the dialect he picked and the nuances which made the character different. Also, knowing this God man and his influence, it took a lot to get him convicted. I felt this should have been a web series.

    Who all recognized the characters of Subramanian Swamy, Kapil Sibal, Ram Jethmalani that were portrayed in this film?
    BTW, they left out the part where the accused had pleaded impotence and was checked for it medically and proved to be lying.
