I mean… if you can trick stab confidently and have the kunai, spy becomes a *much* easier class in casual because there will always be people who are more than willing to be free health packs and make it so you can’t die.
Spy becomes downright easy if you’re using the diamondback too, having 200 health and a gun that has pretty much infinite crits because sapping and backstabbing is just a normal spy thing.

You mean at the bottom-left at 2:11? That's net_graph, which describes your connection to the server visually. Gaps in it show connection issues. He has it show up when he opens the scoreboard, but when replaying demos, the scoreboard doesn't open up.

I think before the meet your match update with the updated HUD you used to be able to use the spikes in the net graph to help determine when people respawn and it is an old habit of his since he played the game since the start but correct me if I am wrong.@@Kris18

Unpopular opinion:
Watching Spy being watered down to a class that needs to wait for a one frame window while dancing around in broad daylight as opposed to a calculating and opportunistic assassin that relies on stealth just feels like...
It feels like the class identity is gone. You're not playing a "Spy", but a Gambler that just relies on shoddy hitboxes to exploit your opponents.

You can still play spy sneakily and do well, you just have to be really good at player psychology. Like I can't trickstab for shit, but I still get decent scores as spy, and the occasional topscore. Still great watching one of the masters of trickstabbing though, makes me want to practice.

the f2p thing is interesting but... it'll be a shit show. the paid aspect is why people take more care to at least try to not be too crazy because... there's a financial stake. maybe do it but with AI only.
