  • A low-key person is someone who is chill, easy-going and simple. There’s no confusion in whether or not someone is low-key; they’re pretty easy to spot once you filter through all the attention-seekers. Here are five (5) truths of low-key people:
    1. They’re laid back.
    2. They’re not into drama.
    3. They avoid extra attention.
    4. They are really easy to get along with.
    5. They make for great, stress-free relationships.

I'm a young girl who rarely posts anything in social media, like I can go for a whole year without posting anything. And one time I was DMing with a former classmate and he said "do you ever leave the house?" I asked why you asking me this weird question and he said "because you never post anything on social media". 😂😂 It's was funny and mind-blowing how people really think you are some kind of prisoner and you're not living life unless you're posting everything on social media as an evidence and proof to the world that you are really living life...

80% of people don't care about us or our problems, and 20% are glad we have them. I learned this the hard way. Privacy is a boundary we set between ourselves and others. As for social media, I only post harmless stuff. Some travel shots here and there, but nothing that can really harm myself or others. Social media can be used for something constructive, and good. But it can also be abused to cause harm, indoctrinate others and contribute to people losing touch with reality.

I got off social media 2 1/2 weeks ago. - the only reason i use youtube is to watch videos like these. Self love and self help videos. I have realised I have my boyfriend and one other friend. No one elses needs to know anything. I am suceeding and winning at life ( in my own eyes ). I journal and reflect on what I can do better everyday and as long as I'm happy and thriving no one but my cloest friends and fam ily need to know anything. Getting off SM has been the best thing I have ever done and I really dont think I'll be going back. Im happy and healthy.

  • @WonderfulWorldofAwesomeness

I miss the days when the only way I knew where my friends went for a meal was if I worked at that particular restaurant, or if I happened to run into them that evening. It’s exhausting seeing people update their social media accounts with every single thing that they do, and it makes it feel as though they are doing things so that they have content for their social media. Sometimes I want to update my social media and say “I went on vacation and didn’t post any pictures on Instagram!”

Nice presentation. When I was younger this was called a "personal life". We were taught as children that whatever happened in the home was not to be shared randomly with the world. As well, most people respected the personal lives of others. You wouldn't dare ask personal questions. If you did, you were probably immediately put in your place. I don't know exactly how or when we got away from that, but we need to get back to being low key as you stated here. Thanks!

You are 1,000% correct. "Most people don't really care about you or your life".
I knew this but it has become more evident to me in the past several months since my son died. There is no support, maybe 5 "likes", "hearts", or "hugs" when i am having a rough day and share a "memory".
Im done. I have kept my account because there are hundreds of pictures on it of him and others who have passed away. But im going to go back to the way it was in a time before I got social media. I am 64 and Thankfully I remember such a time before we were slaves and addicted to phones, computers, and social media.

I really resinate with what your saying and it so represents how i live my life , you are right , i gave up scocial media 5 yrs. ago , so much insecurties and looking for approval from ppl.who you think are your friends but in reality are only attention seeks, it made me look deeper inside myself and questioned why i was there, you know what i mean , it wasn"t my platform ....you hit a high note when you mentioned about family being your enemy and i so experianced that as well , more free and move in silence,it feels great ...Thank you

Thank you.. loved your content... I strongly agree with you.. I have also decided to be as low key as possible, one thing I notice is that I feel a lot less drained and exhausted, I have also discovered that there is no point on many of the things that are said on a day to day basis, a lot of people talk too much about very unimportant things. I have been loving being quiet. I will be checking out more of your videos.

  • @Zelda1UP
    @Zelda1UP Před 2 lety +16

People can have a persona in real life too. Social media has just made it easier. Before social media people had other ways to seek validation from others. Whether it’s material things or lifestyle habits …whatever! I think it’s something that will never go away because people are competitive and want to better than others to feel good about themselves. And as you said a lot of people grew up without validation or love and they overcompensate that by trying to get approval from others. Not everybody grew up with love… and so if they feel they want to post on social media because it gives them the validation they are lacking then so be it. Do I think there are healthier ways? Sure but I think if there were better ways people would be doing that. There are lots of lonely men and women who post and connect with others online so they feel a sense of community because their current environment lacks that. Before social media we had local communities and we were less lonely because people connected more in person… we don’t have that anymore unfortunately and I’d take that back in a heartbeat. I looked for a video like this because it’s becoming more and more of a discussion about privacy online and I’m still struggling to understand your perspective but I want to learn and be open to it. I see the benefits of both sides honestly. The difference is I post because I don’t care what other people think about my life or business. I update my life to the people I care about so I don’t have to call 10 people and say hey I just had a baby or whatever you know? I hope I’m making sense. I do like this video though and looking for more videos on this subject.

A women who isn’t modest can still be admired, loved and be mysterious it has nothing to do with what she is wearing (or not wearing.) think back to nude sculptures of humans. They hold a lot of value because it displays the human body as a work of art. If you don’t admire a woman’s body because she’s not hiding it then it has more to do with your personal beliefs and your experience with you feeling uncomfortable around naked bodies.
