I lost my furbaby in June and wasn't going to have another until I heard that someone needed to rehome one of their cats, so now I'm a Mum to a 12 month old who is mad as a hatter and I love her to pieces. 😻😻 xx

A workplace I was visiting recently had introduced a new rule for the Secret Santa this year that all gifts had to be bought in a charity shop or be secondhand and with a strict price limit. A great idea.

I’m stuck at home, alone, with a bad case of flu 🤧 Mr C - thanks for your sensitivity towards those of us who may not be having the best of times. You recommended a film a few weeks ago - Christmas with the Kranks - and I found it in the charity shop for £1 . Meanwhile - one of my favourite Christmas films - The Holiday - is on later today. Have a lovely Christmas and a nice rest - you deserve it. Best wishes for 2024 💕
Try my Witches brew honey lemon juice in hot water add quarter tsp of powdered cinnamon,ginger and garlic (you wont taste it) top up with orange juice it's guaranteed to make you feel better within three days , happy Christmas get well soon ☺⛄

In these tough times I think that Marks and Spencer have really showed up for people in their pricing and creating new lines of affordable foods.

I also like their clothes etc.
I buy all my clothes from M&S, as they fit me well, are great quality & can be tumble dried.
Regarding food, sometimes I feel guilty for not shopping at Aldi & Lidl but I’m not able to eat proper meals anymore & can never find anything in there to buy.
I mainly shop in Tesco, Waitrose & Morrisons & occasionally buy a treat from M&S. Their digestives are thee best.
Luke is always so humble and appreciative of the beautiful gifts you give him. Your friendship is an awesome thing. Merry Christmas from Florida!

Aw, Helen is Ab Fab 😉 and I think that's where I first saw her...of course she's been in many things over the years, I love her sense of humour, plus she has fabulous eyes (err, a bit random but go with it lol) Your home looks beautiful Mr.C. In previous Christmas seasons I have spent loads of money on store bought gifts only to see mild enthusiasm, but since I started thrifting as a business years ago, I always see things that friends/family would like, and I pick them up along the way. Wouldn't you know, the stuff they absolutely love and use are all things I have thrifted.
This year has been a dumpster fire unfortunately of deaths in the family, dad dealing with cancer, loss of pets, loss of three of my beloved neighbors, and to add insult to injury I've been massively sick all week, so this is a self care year, close the blinds, shut the phones off, immediate family only who are all on the same vibe of let's just sit in our PJs, with a good movie, order in some food, not do presents, and just enjoy our company. I wish everyone whether you are happy and full of joy or struggling to make it through the day, a Merry/Happy Christmas. Not every year is a good one, but there will be brighter days along the way if this is not your year.

How strange that we went to the cinema very recently and looked to sit down but I saw seat number 13!!! I refused to sit there and we moved along, luckily it was quiet so no problem :)

Just caught up on this after Christmas. A lovely long vlog with so much to enjoy. I discovered Helen in the mid to late 80s with the sketch show Naked Video. I’m very intrigued by her book and will be buying that. Loved the cocktail section and how Helen’s eyes lit up at the mention of vodka 😂

Hi Christina, I don’t know you but that’s an awful thing to happen anytime but just before Christmas 😥. I hope you are kind to yourself tomorrow well today now I see the clock has changed to Christmas Day and just do whatever you feel up to. We have lost someone a few months ago and so whilst not quite as raw this Christmas will be some subdued. May I wish you kindness and compassion this Christmas and the same to anyone else who has experienced a loss recently.

It has taken me days to get through this video, a little at a time so forgive the lateness of comments. Honey: most shop bought honey has additives of some king and a lot add sugar. To get a real benefit from honey for health you need to find a local seller, preferably from bees within 5 miles of your home. Maybe a local garden centre? Helen: we don’t see enough of her on TV. I can’t remember when I first saw her but she is so naturally funny and her book will be a good read. Your home looks very festive. I like your Spode wear. TKMAXX had a lot of Spode this year. A belated happy Christmas, I’m the same about New Year, no big celebrations or resolutions made. And lastly, a massive thank you for my Cameo message. One to treasure. X

Not all the snacks are so comforting. In the interest of heart health we should all stay away from roasted nuts of all kinds. The roasting process releases trans fats which are very bad for our hearts. Trans fat increases the shelf-life of many industrially-produced items, that’s why they are used. This is one of the reasons why processed foods should be avoided.
Hi Judy, thank you for that information. I don’t eat nuts now as I find they are hard to digest but other people might like to enjoy in small amounts👍🏼.

Merry Christmas from Adelaide Iwan. It is Christmas Eve here and we are heading to bed ahead of a quiet Christmas Day (which we’re looking forward to) followed by our family celebration on Boxing Day. As the kids are all older and have partners it becomes a bit of a military manoeuvre to plan who sees who for which meal these days. They always see their dad and his partner for breakfast, then we alternate Christmas Day and Boxing Day each year. We are going to share a grazing platter, a bottle of fizz, watch a movie and chill with our kitty cats tomorrow. Boxing Day is a great meal of seafood, ham, Turkey and salads followed by trifle and Pavlova…
