Congratulations and thank you very much for sharing! I was skeptical about the styling until just this past weekend. I drove by my local dealer and spied an Ice Cap Sport parked out front. The excitement was building as I approached seeing the lines in person. It looks awesome! I parked my 2020 Off Road side by side for comparison: height difference very evident; wider stance; bed depth; sharply defined lines. This new gen Tacoma really does now look like a true adult scale Tonka toy. I haven't been inside yet, however, from the reviews the interior appears far less customizable than the 3rd gen.

Seats are so superior and comfortable. The whole interior environment experience could help me forget the customization obstacle. Look forward to seeing the evolution of your build!

Beside those 2 gaps you pointed out, (interior) have you tried to put the rubber caps back in the holes in the bed charging ports? People in videos are are leaving them hang because they don't seem to go back in easy. Even Sheldon the Toyota engineer had trouble with them in a video.
I got this for $54,000 and the premium package comes with everything, heater and vented seats, 14” radio, 10 speaker JBL system, powered seats, softex seats. The upgrade package comes standard with heated seats (cloth seats). I might be able to do a video comparing the two but for now, you’ll have to look on Toyotas website
i would put a hard shell camper on one of these i love that look and functionality but i guess you would lose the rear cameras. not a biggie for me. im interested in one of these maybe used though.

@@randyz2088 yes I believe you can, you might need to take the body mount bracket off and trim a tiny bit of plastic still but I could be wrong. If you do a leveling kit, you’ll be fine for sure

They could have improved on some department but any vehicle will have a flaw they’re nice and nothings wrong when Brand new but as time goes by I’m sure you will find stuff that weren’t well made on your Tacoma just saying I’m not trying to argue beautiful truck and I’m interested on how this truck will handle with the 35s as I had to go through hell fitting them on mine with the cost of regearing it

Yea I can see that it’s harder to customize the interior but I bet there is still things to do soon. You’ll love the interior tho!

I went with the STEK DYNOmatte PPF and it’s holding up really well, I definitely recommend it if you want to protect your investment

No, I believe that is an option tho. They do come standard on the Pro, these are a 265/70R17

Wheel base is too long and impractible. front wheels are in adifferent time zone than the rear wheels.
Yea, coming from a 5th gen 4Runner, I’ll need to watch my wheel base on trails but luckily it’s only 3” longer than the 3rd gen so it’s not horrible

First of all, I didn’t bash the 3rd gen. I used to have one and they were reliable for the most part but they weren’t well made.
