Natalie Zayas-Bazan Honestly I still think she could. She’s already proven to be pretty talented along with her sister. I don’t know if it’s her or her agent but she hasn’t really been getting the best roles lately...minus OUATIH, but that’s because it was a Tarantino movie and she still wasn’t a main character. Saoirse Ronan has always been played a pivotal character in movies like Little Women and Grand Budapest.
Dan Bam well I saw in an interview She said she likes ‘darker roles’ but that really shouldn’t affect anything. Saoirse’s roles haven’t been happy go lucky. I don’t understand it.
Natalie Zayas-Bazan really? Tbh I’m not surprised. She _was_ a child actress after all and she seems to be going to the same struggle as all other former child actors - the breakaway. If anything, she hasn’t really had much darker roles other than OUATIH and the Alienist. Please Stand By was almost early Anderson-esque. Hell, Grand Budapest Hotel was pretty dark as much as it was quirky.
She’s obviously going fair with The Alienist, but in the movie field?
Not so much. Could be worse, but most of her movies have been mostly...forgettable.
And that’s where Ronan actually has a step forward than Fanning.
Dan Bam maybe in recent years, but even in her first role in ‘I am Sam’ she plays the daughter of a mentally disabled man the court is trying to take away. Not exactly a comedy. In ‘man on fire’ she’s the kidnap victim of a scheme her own father set up. May be fiction but she was the best (and most terrifying ) part of twilight. She’s played a rape victim, she accidentally killed her own mother. Home girl’s resume isn’t Reese Witherspoon. 😂 (which i wonder if its on purpose because in real life she seems like a happy delightful young lady. BTW she’s only two months older than saoirse and yet had a five year head start so what gives?) we’ll have to agree to disagree on Ronan. She also seems like a lovely person in real life but most of her characters make me want to choke her. I haven’t seen the big deal in ANY of her oscar nominated films.
