Flight Departure from Funafuti Airport in Tuvalu .. 05/02/13

Remember this is the wet season in Tuvalu & the weather condition for most of the day was heavy rain, also shortage of fuel with other basic essentials in short supply .... flour rice & sugar. Back to the flight this is one of the highlights in Funafuti with only 2 flights per week arriving from Nausori Airport close the the city of Suva in Fiji, the flights are on Tuesdays & Thursdays with PacificSun, this wasn't my flight however I wanted to experience the excitement with many of the locals. Some passengers who were on the wait-list were unable to board due to the extra fuel being carried for the return flight & the fuel shortage in Funafuti. Luckily the flight wasn't cancelled due to the weather !!!!!

Very Nice and Adventurous. They have brought the Airplanes to its knees. That's how one should fly and board the planes. Too much hustle in big airports.

Watching this it is hard to believe that shortage of fresh water -- rainwater -- is a major problem in Tuvalu.
