      If you have the opportunity, go to campus in the fall and the sprink, literally the best times on campus and that will give you a good idea of what the expect when you get accepted! Good luck :)

    Ah, my Alma Mater! It looks very different from when I was there from 2004-2009. So many new buildings! And my housing complex is scheduled to be demolished next year 😢 (Hamilton complex). Oh, and RIP to President Dave Frohnmayer, he was pres during my years. Class of '09 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

    i’ve been wanting to go to UO since i was 11 years old, now i’m a junior in high school planning to visit in the summer - possibly compete in the nike outdoor nationals at hayward !! but either way, i can’t say this enough but this campus and the programs that have been built are simply incredible.

    Hope I get accepted into UO the football is amazing the Ducks have been my favorite college team since I was 5. Ducks are great!

      @mr.meowsercat2332 You may not be happy about it now, but you will get more out of your learning and experience. You will also get more respect, will have better job opportunities, and be able to start a business better after graduating at OSU. OSU is also a better funded school. You will, in the long run, be happy you attended OSU.

    I’ll also luckily be joining in this fall too! I’m incredibly excited as there’s just a crazy amount of community stuff going on here so I’m just absolutely livid going here. But if anyone could answer my question that would be great! Are our roommates gender limited? If that’s confusing it’s okay but I’m just wondering if guys have to dorm with only guys or if it’s more free then that. Cause I can’t seem to find this information anywhere else lol!

      Hi and that's a great question! So, generally speaking, the dorms/ roommates will try to keep you with the same sex on your floor because of the shared bathrooms. Barnhart has private bathrooms so there are co-ed floors. Does that help?

      I think they're trying to make it sound more palatable by removing a syllable. They want it to be said easily. I don't agree. But I understand.

      @@BackRoll23 how many years ago was that 😂 I’m a senior and grew up in Eugene everyone I know calls it UO including some of the students in this video. You don’t go here anymore so I don’t expect you to know that we still call it that but there’s no point in disagreeing w someone that literally goes here

    I was almost born and raised in Eugene when I was young wary back in the 60's and 70's Now I live in Klan country in Ga now. I look back at Eugene and The woman talk with a manly voice and the men talk with a woman voice and they got all gay accent

    I second the UO comment. University of Oregon...did you really sign off on this? I’m sure the video is great, but I can’t get past the five “UO” mentions in the first minute. Fingernails on a blackboard. We are not the inverse of Oklahoma. Did this guy even come to Eugene, or is this all green screen? Not trying to hate, but this is such a basic and obvious miss. #uofo

      The host Alex did come to Eugene, he's right there in our new Student Welcome Center around.uoregon.edu/content/new-center-offers-warm-welcome-potential-ducks Alex was instructed by us to say UO because that's what we all say these days 😊

      @@uoregon Odd that you would abbreviate University of Oregon as UO. We are University of Oregon, not University Oregon. Oklahoma University is abbreviated as OU, which does make sense. A Google search of "U of O" brings up University of Oregon, where as search of "UO" brings up Urban Outfitters.

      @@uoregon I grew up in Eugene and went to the U of O. I have many friends who are graduates. I have never heard Oregon called “UO” before today. It sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. Once the U of O always the U of O. Marketing FAIL.

    don't go to that school. No support for international student. It was my mistake choosing that school and wasted my two years there. I am transferring to oregon state university and people are so nice there. I will repeat that school is a money hungry school.

    No one in Eugene calls it UO. It's called the U of O. The young lady studying education clearly said U of O which makes me think she was not a hired actor. It's a massive error in this video. Cringy to hear.
