    I have two. Secure your door Jambs with Steel because these are just as easy to break as a standard bedroom lock when kicking in a door.

    how long does those batteries last?
    Was it hard to install? thinking of buying one

      I've replaced batteries twice since installing in December 2020, but the first replacement set I think two of them were already partially dead. Will also depend on how often you punch codes in or even more so how often you access it online.
      Install was pretty easy just like the video shows. First 6 months or so it lost connection to the wifi and I had to reset that which was a pain because you have to use the app and open up the battery compartment, but it hasn't done it since so I think the updates to the lock, module, and wall unit are all working great now. For the last 9+ months I've had zero problems and it's awesome.

    I thought there was a WiFi module included with this lock is it a separate purchase?

      It is separate. I purchased it and use it to check when my kids are home. Without it you can connect while at the house, but not away from the house.

    On the inside section of the lock, there's a little black button to the right of the deadbolt knob. Have you figured out what that's for?

    • @HuskerNKC
      @HuskerNKC  Před 2 lety +2

      That is for privacy mode. It deactivates all pin codes until privacy mode is turned off.

      Yale's website has good help and support and you can contact them. I don't have any experience beyond what I show in the video so if that didn't help check the website for support.

    Who’s the lock worked out for you so far

    • @HuskerNKC
      @HuskerNKC  Před 2 lety +1

      I like it so far with one issue. When it disconnects from the smart module due to batteries dying or the plug being unplugged, it sometimes struggles to reconnect on its own and requires a full delete and re-setup on the app. In the time I have had the lock this has happened 3 times. 1 time due to batteries dying in the lock and 2 times due to unplugging or moving the plug for the wireless module. Most of the time it fixes itself, but when it doesn't it can be a hassle.

      @@hussainalajlah1776 not sure yale has anything that will work on that size of door. You would have to check their website or Google search for a different option
